no sir, not even that. the bills were up by 11 with 6 minute to play, and were absolutely OWNING the cheatriettes* ALL FREAKING NITE. this does not just happen to us, time , and time, and time, and time again. after tonite, i am more convinced than ever that the NFL is even more scripted than the WWF.

Crabtree to re-enter draft
The Senator replied to Wilson from Gamehendge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My guess is, after sitting out the season and making zilch this season, he'll be re-united with Graham Harrell in Saskatchewan next year. What a freaking moron! -

The Gospel According to St. Mike

Yeah, it's that type of thinking that has me hoping he'll still be there for the Bills in round 7. Let's see how Taco Tech does agaoinst Texas this week. -
The Gospel According to St. Mike
The Senator replied to The Senator's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Uh, yeah, that's generally the way it works in college football when you're a sophomore playing behind Graham Harrell. Add last weeks 4 TDs (2 passing, w rushing) and Potts has scored 11 TDs in 2 games - 9 passing and 2 on the ground - and thrown for 861 yards. Even as a backup, he threw for 670 yards and 5 TDs. Potts will probably lead the NCAA in passing this year and next, which is why he's probably the most talented QB 1st year Texas Tech has ever seen according to... Mike Leach -
Taylor Potts threw seven touchdowns to lead Texas Tech past Rice 55-10 Saturday. He threw TD passes of 5, 7, 8, 11, 27, 34 and 30 yards as Texas Tech moved to 2-0 on the season. Potts completed 36 of 57 passes for 456 yards and threw to 13 different receivers. It marked his second consecutive 400-plus yard performance. Last week, though, Potts threw three interceptions; he had none against the Owls. Thirteen different receivers. Distribution - having all of your offensive weapons getting touches - is the Gospel according to ... Mike Leach Hopefully the Bills will have a shot at Potts in the 7th round of the 2011 draft.

And what I find pretty amazing is the # of idiots who have pronounced Demetrius Bell a total failure, while already annointing St. Jason to Pro Bowl status - before either has played a down this season - in their frantic rush to say "I told you so!" I swear, Buffalo's Adam Mickeiwicz Dramatic Circle (aka 'Mickey's') must be named after you. Come back and talk to us after Bell's debut, and after Julius Peppers owns FatBoy today.

A passing fancy: Five QBs not named Tebow, McCoy, or Bradford to keep your eye on this year Of course I'm partial to Taylor Potts - 34/48 (71%) for 405 yards, 4 TDs (2 passing, 2 rushing), 3 INTs, and a 143 QB rating last Sat. nite - mainly because he's coached by... Mike Leach

Interesting article on Belichick and offense
The Senator replied to nodnarb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks, Mr. Cody! I'm not sure what Dick Jauron does in the off-season to became a better coach, either (apparently, nothing - since he's achieved a remarkably consistent 7-9 W-L record for 3 consecutive years), but Bill Belicheat* spends a lot of time picking the brain of Urban Meyer, coach of the perennial powerhouse and BCS contender Florida Gators... Belichick turns to unlikey source for coaching advice Curiously, Belicheat* is most interested in incorporating elements of Meyer's 'spread offense' - the scheme that The Dean and many others argue does not translate well to the NFL, and also the offense used extensively by Texas Tech's 'Mad Scientist'... Mike Leach (says most NFL teams run the spread offense) While other coaches (i.e., Schonert,) may try to 'over-think' everything and dazzle you with how clever they are (How many times have we watched a Bills play fall apart behind the line-of-scrimmage before it even developed - while we scratch our heads wondering, 'Just WTF were they trying to do, and who did they think they were going to fool?'), Leach tends to make things as simple as he can for his offense by giving them a limited number of plays to choose from, running them from different formations, and relying on perfect execution rather than mind-numbing complexity... The first play Leach called against Texas A.&M. was the first play on Cody Hodges's wrist. That wrist held a mere 23 ordinary plays, 9 red-zone plays (for situations inside an opponent's 20-yard line), 6 goal-line plays, 2 2-point-conversion plays and 5 trick plays. "There's two ways to make it more complex for the defense," Leach says. "One is to have a whole bunch of different plays, but that's no good because then the offense experiences as much complexity as the defense. Another is a small number of plays and run it out of lots of different formations." Leach prefers new formations. "That way, you don't have to teach a guy a new thing to do," he says. "You just have to teach him new places to stand." Texas Tech's offense has no playbook; Cody Hodges's wrist and Mike Leach's back pocket hold the only formal written records of what is widely regarded as one of the most intricate offenses ever to take a football field. The plays change too often, in response to the defense and the talents of the players on hand, to bother recording them. Link - Coach Leach Goes Deep, Very Deep -

Seeing it when it was first released, I remember thinking, "Will this freaking wedding scene EVER end?" -
Exactly.... Which Gay Major Leaguer Will Come Out In 2004? “My money’s on Piazza,” said one AL player, who asked not to be identified. “He hasn’t been very good at keeping the secret. Plus, he’s a real courageous guy. I think he’ll be the first guy to come out of the closet and open the door up for Jeter, Pettitte, and Drew.”

Who is starting at QB for us next Monday?

I would be shocked if it wasn't Fitz. Trent will be at the Toronto Film Festival, stalking Dakota Fanning, and waiting to get his Twilight poster signed... Get your Twilight posters ready -
And I imagine the entire time, she's screaming, "Dad, you freaking WUSS - turn that crap off so I can watch some college football, dammit!" Cheers

Belichick*? WTF doe he know about winning*? (Without cheating, that is ) I'd rather ask... Mike Leach Mike Leach, head coach of the Texas Tech Red Raiders and Mad Scientist of The High Plains keeps it simple. Coach Leach is known for the prolific offense that the Red Raiders field year after year. Taking a closer look at Leach’s offense, it’s surprising how simple the plan is. Michael Lewis states in his New York Times article profiling Leach that the offense has no playbook. The only formal written record exist on the quarterbacks arm and Leach’s back pocket. He prefers multiple formations as opposed to multiple plays. So each player only learns a few plays that can be run out of many formations. Leach says, “That way, you don't have to teach a guy a new thing to do. You just have to teach him new places to stand.” Good luck game planning against this offense—the plays are few enough that the playbook can be rewritten week to week. I would imagine the quarterback can audible into any play from the playbook from any formation at any time. He’s probably a few steps ahead of even the most experienced defense.

OMFG... "To quote Hanah Montana..." means you've actually watched Hanah Montana. Turn in your f&kcing Man Card IMMEDIATELY, and don't ever post here again!!!!!! :worthy:

Couldn't agree more... RJ + JP + TE = 3 strikes and you're out! Love to 'roll the dice' on a kid from Abilene, TX in 2011... Taylor Potts Given that he plays for Leach, Potts could win the Heisman, set NCAA records in passing yardage and TDs, and STILL be available in round 7

SU Orangemen QB Greg Paulus First College Game Stats!
The Senator replied to PearlHowardman's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Yeah, that's great. BTW - Taylor Potts was 34/48 (71%) for 405 yards, 2 passing TDs, 2 rushing TDs and a QB rating of 143 last night. At 6'5" and 220 lbs, he towers over that midget from Syracuse. Oh...and Potts' team won. Too bad he's a junior - the Bills won't have a shot at him 'til 2011. (But we should be about ready to run another QB out of town by then ) -
Well in that case.... Git 'er done, Russ! (It's the last weekend of summer - shouldn't you be partying in P-Town ?)
