  1. I still disagree, John. While you can certainly question the decisions of the previous front offices between Polian and Brandon, last year was Brandon's 1st as GM so it's WAY premature to say we still don't have a quality front office. As I posted earlier, I really don't see a vast difference in Brandon's background from that of Bill Polian's, before Ralph promoted Polian to GM. (Or, for that matter, between Brandon's and Theo Epstein's in 2004, when he led the Red Sox to their first World Series title since 1918). For all we know, Brandon may well turn out to be one of the best GMs ever - let's wait and see.
  2. I'm not sure which is tougher - a hole-in-one, or this... Anyway, with a million bucks, I sure hope he bought the customary round at the club house.
  3. I know one guy - whose team played on nat'l TV last Saturday - who would agree with you... Mike Leach
  4. HAPPY NATAL ANNIVERSARY!!!! Cheers
  5. i thought there were only three chords in all of music
  6. Actually, while Belicheat* had final say over player acquisitions, for drafting and free agency he* relied mostly on Pioli, who built the cheatriettes* Superbowl* teams*. We all know of Polian's genius, but I really don't see a vast difference in Polian's background before Ralph made him GM, and Brandon's. (Or, for that matter, between Brandon's and 30-year-old Theo Epstein when he led the Red Sox to their first World Series title since 1918 in '04.) And, while Littman and Overdorf, as financial guys, are certainly involved in contract negotiations, John Guy and Tom Modrak are still the most influential of Brandon's assistants regarding player personnel - of course with the help of Paul Lancaster, Doug Majeski, Rashaan Curry, Brian Fisher, Brad Forsyth, Shawn Heinlen, Buddy Nix, Matt Hand, etc. In other words - I'm not sure what your point is, but since this is only Brandon's 2nd year as 'GM', I don't think you have one. At least not a valid one if you're trying to hang the last decade on Brandon. He may well turn out to be another Polian - let's wait and see.
  7. ...and on a pace to give up 32 sacks.
  8. I believe you'd have to be a member of Carmine Sabatini's Supper Club... Link - The Freshman

  12. Didn't really expect Leach & Potts to go into Austin and upset #2 ranked Texas last week, though it would have been nice, but let's see what they do against #17 Houston this weekend
  13. Tempus fugit... Holgorsen, Kingsbury reunite with Leach in Houston edit: mistakenly said earlier that Holgerson was Houston HC - obviously that's Kevin Sumlin (Holgerson is OC)
  14. And if we're 4-1 headed to New Jersey to face the Jets? What will that portend?
  15. It worked just fine, B2 - damned funny too. But it sounds like maybe I've been shirking my duties - big game for TT at 17th ranked Houston this weekend, and a bit of a re-union as well, as Houston OC Dana Holgerson and quality control coach Kliff Kingsbury both studied at the knee of... Mike Leach
  16. bump looks like #59 BILLS FAN needs some help getting time-warner to switch games... http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?showtopic=96896 come on, pick up your phones folks - 100 calls should be easy
  17. damn! how 'bout those cheap plastic horns they used to sell? those OK?
  18. I agree - myself, I'm a bleeding-heart conservative.
  19. Yes, but don't forget that, in addition to being cheap, RW is also a senile old fool - in trying to piss off the fans by putting the cheapest, worst product possible on the field, he'll likely screw everything up and make the playoffs... 18 and 1 baby!!! GO BILLSSS!!!! REVERSE THE CURSE!!!!!
  20. Thank you, Dean - Runyan is approaching his 36th birthday, coming off microfracture knee surgery, and no other NFL team has signed him, yet some of the WAH-mbulance drivers out there think he'd be a perfect fit for the Bills young O-line and our no-huddle offense??? Why not bring in a tackle with more experience? Coach Dick Jauron pointed to the presence of four-year veteran Kirk Chambers, who now presumably is the Bills' No.3 tackle. "At this point we still have the luxury of Kirk, who's got experience in the league and who's played well for us," Jauron said. "Sean [Kugler] and Ray [brown] really liked Meredith in his workout, thought he had some upside," Jauron said, referring to the Bills' offensive line coaches. "We had good grades on him coming out. So we decided we would go that way. That's really the reasons." link-Buffalo News I like the youth-movement, and gotta side with DJ and the Bills staff who - surprisingly - seem to be making all the right moves regarding the O-line so far. GO BILLSSS!!!! REVERSE THE CURSE!!!!!
  21. Yeah, we do - you all start calling for *Brady's and *Belichick's heads, and go back to rooting for the Giants.
  22. Maybe he just wants to go to Saskatchewan to be reunited with Harrell???
  23. Question: Are fans allowed to bring air-horns into RWS? I'm hoping to see someone pop this guy in the face.. Triple G ...then blow an air-horn in his ear.
  24. Yes, neutrality and objectivity bring out the worst in me, but I was just kidding, John - you knew that, right?
