I’m a cancer patient - In the last 7 years I ‘ve had 3 colonoscopies, plus 2 endoscopies, and one triple scope (that’s the one where you swallow the camera to catch anything they don ‘t find from the other 2 aforementioned invasions of your orifices.) The powder, mixed with lime gatorade had everything coming out green. And i didn’t race to the bathroom, I lived there for 36 hours!

Whatever transpired between Leach and TT officials in 2009 remains a mystery, because TT, as a public institution in the State of Texas, claimed ‘sovereign immunity’. What IS known is that TT used an incident between Leach and Adam James, marginal player and son of Craig James - former douchebag broadcaster, douchebag NE running back, douchebag ‘helicopter parent’ that wouldn’t stop calling Leach and other TT officials to demand more playing time for his talentless douchebag son - as an excuse to fire Leach. I have a hard time myself with kids that are cursed with unusual names by their parents. Is it N’Keal, K’Neal, or Captain Tenille? Remember Peerless Price? His momma named him after a laundry truck that happened to drive by. Anyway, I’d prefer the Bills go O-line/D-line, or D-line/O-line, in rounds 1/2, and wait for Kelvin Harmon in round 3. JMO

Some coaches seem to have a knack for sniffing out QB talent - Leach certainly being at the top of the list in the college ranks (come on, Gardner Minshew?), but Dana Holgerson, Lincoln Riley and Kliff Kingsbury (all part of the Leach tree) are on the list as well. Leach has also said that most NFL scouts and GMs are maybe not so good at it - otherwise why so many 1st round flops? Why Jamarcus Russell a #1 overall pick, and Brady hung out til the 6th round? Tom Donahoe wasted a future first round pick on JP Losman. Food for thought. .

Couple of side notes about Leach - (1) He did it with scrubs at Texas Tech; limited scholarships, plus every standout kid from the Lone Star State wanted to go to Texas, Texas A&M, or Oklahoma, certainly not Lubbock - yet Leach took TT as high as #2 in the nation for a few weeks in 2008 and put that program back on the map; (2) Leach’s TT teams had the highest graduation rate of any public D1 university; (3) I read his first book (Swing Your Sword), haven’t read his book about Geronimo yet, but may stream the final lecture of the course he’s teaching at Wazzu - ‘Insurgent Warfare and Football Strategies’. I’ve been fighting that war since 2007, when Amendola and Harrell played for Leach and Holgerson at Texas Tech. Don’t know the reason why so many were so insistent that it’d never work in the NFL, particularly since NE and GB were already using it. Clearly, Protocal69’s video proves that Leach figured it out more than 20 years ago. .

Thanks, my friend, for the recognition. I don’t doubt that Josh Allen could thrive in the Air Raid, but wonder if McDermott and Daboll could teach it and successfully implement it. Daboll possibly could. He spent about 10 years in New England, almost all on the offensive side. Belichick has been running elements of the Spread and the Air Raid forever, and used to meet with Mike Leach frequently. What they discussed, I have no idea, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t deep sea fishing. .

I made good friends in France, most of whom I have lost touch with, have several great friends from France here in the US, had a wonderful professor from France when I was in Ithaca, two of my largest clients back in the 80s/90s were from Grenoble (HP) and La Gaude (IBM), and I love French food (except for snails) and French wine. I particularly enjoyed the 4 hour dinners with IBM, a different bottle of wine with each course, and - naturally - Cognac or Armagnac afterwards. And, they insisted on picking up the check.
