  1. Trent wears gloves even in August?
  2. Now would you have posted this if the player the fans were heckling was anyone else BUT Fanning-Fan Edwards?
  3. I can't believe it took someone almost an hour...
  4. Sorry, SJ, too early - haven't even had my morning 'bracer' yet. As far as I know, we still haven't hired... Mike Leach ...so I have no insight about the whole 'prirate thing' - arrrrrrrgh!!!
  5. OK then... SKOOOOOOOOOOOBY
  6. So do we call him 'T-Bone' or 'KoKo'?
  7. You can find one here... Two Bills Drive ...or, just wait for Skoobydum to post it.
  8. The other ridiculous claim is that it's $578M on one school - it's actually a campus of seven schools, a 'sizable' urban park, and a memorial to RFK. I know the press has a way of slanting facts to sell news, but they seem to have gone 'over-the-top' on this one.
  9. George doesn't like that. George is getting upset.
  10. Yeah, he was - so how many streets and schools you guys got named after him in Anchorage? Of course the reason the new school is named after RFK is because it's on the very site where he was murdered. The only other public facility I can think of that bears his name is RFK Stadium, which was renamed in 1969 after the assassination. (BTW, we name plenty of things after prominent senators and others of significant achievement in this country - not just presidents - but you already know that.)
  11. And set an all-time, unbreakable, one-day record for DWI arrests in a single county.
  12. Yes, well, remember now, these are British sailors...
  13. My guess would be in excess of $200M cash, the Florida house, plus alimony & child support. Hopefully more. Good for her. (Memo to Woods - never let the little head do the thinkin' for the big head.)
  14. Why are there so many schools, streets, parks, monuments, etc., etc. named after McKinley here in Buffalo?
  15. Actually, BB, it's an old, traditional sailors' lament - anyone who's seen the movie 'Jaws' would remember Quint (Robert Shaw) singing it to Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss)... Farewell and adieu to you, Spanish ladies, Farewell and adieu to you, ladies of Spain; For we have received orders to sail to old England, But we hope in a short time to see you again. cho: We'll rant and we'll roar like true British sailors, We'll rant and we'll roar across the salt seas; Until we strike soundings in the Channel of old England: From Ushant to Scilly 'tis thirty-five leagues. Then we hove our ship to, with the wind at sou'-west, my boys, Then we hove our ship to, for to strike soundings clear; Then we filled the main topsail and bore right away, my boys, And straight up the Channel of old England did steer. So the first land we made it is called the Deadman, Next Ram Head off Plymouth, Start, Portland and the Wight; We sailed hy Beachy, by Fairly and Dungeness, And then bore away for the South Foreland light. Now the signal it was made for the Grand Fleet to anchor, All on the Downs that night for to meet; Then stand by your stoppers, see clear your shank-painters, Haul all your clew garnets, stick out tacks and sheets. Now let every man drink up his full bottle, Let every man drink up his full bowl; For we will be jolly and drown melancholy, With a health to each jovial and true-hearted soul.
  16. Your secret's safe with me, but next time you might wanna try Melvin Belli.
  17. Is Chase Patton still available?
  18. You are saying that because Elway and Plunkett are ProBowl QBs and Superbowl winners, that ALL Stanford QBs are ProBowl QBs and Superbowl winners? In that case, we should be all set with Edwards
  19. Geez, when I saw the title I thought maybe Ralph hired... Mike Leach
  20. Wow - Kunstler must be one hell of an attorney, to still be winning cases 15 years after he died!
  21. I have heard that said before, but can't remember where or when! (Not the HOF part, that seems a bit more like sarcasm, embellishment, hyperbole, etc., but given the dismal Jets QB situation, whomever said that may turn out to be one prescient bastard!) Sanchez, Moore struggle, Jets beat Panthers 9-3 (The article doesn't do much to help out the Jimmy 'The Emu' Clausen crowd, either.)
  22. As do I, hopefully for Da Billssss!!! Thanks for the good read, oh spherically-shaped dispenser of malt beverages! (BTW, hope you are well and getting even better by the second!)
  23. Oh yeah!! Ba BOOM!! ????? Exactly what is it about me that attracts you so? I know the thread title didn't say "back door left open" but shouldn't you be greasin' up and 'punchin' it in your own 'benchmen' buddies on... Herring Cove ????
