  1. I think it's either the migraines or something he's taking to control the pain that's keeping him off the field.
  2. I believe there's an OC available... The Mike Leach Offense Explained .
  3. Waters will probably end up in Dallas - but Houston, Chicago, St. Louis, and even NE are possibilities. (When it happens, all the TSW posters that pegged him as 'finished' will light up this board with vitriol for the Bills FO!) Leonard Davis, Vince Manuwai, and Bryant McKinnie will all have productive seasons with teams other than the Bills, probably Max Starks as well. (Same TSWers that berated all of them will then ask, "Why can't the Bills get players like that?") GO BILLSSS!!!!
  4. One way is to retire before taking a plea bargain and becoming a convicted felon - LA detective Mark Fuhrman 'retired' @ 44.
  5. Check out these two 2012 mock drafts, dated 6/27/2011... link (Bills at #7-spot - Rang has us picking Kalil, Reuter says we take Jones!)
  6. Once you start Levitre, there's only one thing left to do... Adcock
  7. Kalil's a junior - he'd have to forgo his senior year and declare early. Darron Thomas and Matt Barkley are also juniors. Personally, I think Jones (also a junior, but likely to declare) is the QB everyone will covet - even more than Luck - after Oklahoma goes undefeated and wins the BCS title.
  8. If the Bills had the #1 overall pick? He'd probably stay at Stanford, finish his Masters, play out his senior year of eligibility, and not declare until 2013
  9. Yeah, I get it, I understand, and I'm not trying to be argumentative - but maybe the reason they're "oft-injured" is because they've "oft-started" in their NFL careers??? (as opposed to our undrafted scrubs/practice-squad rejects)
  10. OK, the Bills will definitely not be picking #1 overall - so, with our O-line of Wang, Wood, and Levitre, there can only be only choice for the Bills in round one... Levy Adcock, OT, Oklahoma State
  11. Geriatric? Shawn Andrews is 28 year old; Max Starks is 29; Mario Henderson is 26. (FYI, Eric pears is 29; Chad Rinehart, Jason Watkins, and Mansfield Wrotto are all 26.) Yeah, some of those guys are at of near the end of their careers and some are a little out of shape from the lockout or banged up and couldn't get treatment (Manuwai), but it's ludicrous to say that not even one of those former Pro Bowlers or 1st round picks couldn't bolster the Bills pathetic o-line.
  12. The reason they remain unsigned is because Demetrisu Bell, Ed Wang, Eric Pears, Chad Rinehart, Cordaro Howard, Jason Watkins, Mansfield Wrotto, Isaiah Thompson, etc. - are better than all of them????
  13. OK - neither the NCAA nor NFL 2011 seasons have begun so, sure, let's talk 2012 draft

  16. Geez, Sullivan blistering the Bills...that's new
  17. Hey, they guy squandered his money and needs work - I have no problem at all with a guy trying to earn an honest buck. But you'd think, playing in a large market like Boston, he could easily get a job as pitchman for a car dealership or something along those lines. I still remember those incessant Danny Ainge/M.L. Carr auto commercials from when I lived there..."Who knows more about cars than M.L. Carr?"
  18. It may be - but more likely it's because Jason Campbell took a knee to the head on Saturday, and they got a good look at backup Trent Edwards and his 29.2 QB rating
  19. I guess you'd have to do it twice, no? Don't know if it quite counts the same if you use a barrel, but... In August 1985, Steve Trotter, an aspiring stunt man from Rhode Island, became the youngest person ever (age 22) and the first American in 25 years to go over the falls in a barrel. Ten years later, Trotter went over the falls again, becoming the second person to go over the falls twice and survive. link
  20. That's unfortunate for Carolina - they just might want to get into the Terrelle Pryor sweepstakes... Cam Newton struggles in his first start In his first exhibition start, Newton threw behind and below receivers, often failed to set his feet and looked confused at times in the Panthers’ 20-10 loss to Miami. The No. 1 overall pick completed 7 of 14 passes for 66 yards. He only had one completion to a wide receiver — a 2-yard gain to Armanti Edwards on third-and-9 late in the second quarter. Panthers coach Ron Rivera would prefer to name a Week 1 starting quarterback before next week’s game at Cincinnati, and did not indicate a leader in the competition between Newton and Jimmy Clausen.
  21. Meanwhile, 5X Pro Bowl guard Brian Waters is still out there, unsigned, as is Vince Manuwai - both are decent rush-blockers that could bolster our interior O-line. Veterans Leonard Davis and Shawn Andrews are both 3X Pro Bowl guards that are also still available. Available OTs include Bryant McKinnie, Nick Kaczur, Mario Henderson, Max Starks, Flozell Adams, Mark Tauscher and Langston Walker. I understand that Buddy wants to draft, develop, and play his own young guys, but right now a little veteran o-line help seems necessary.
  22. I'm wondering if the lack of a full 100-yard practice field at training camp this year hasn't affected the Bills passing game in the early preseason... Prior to this year, Fisher had two 100-yard grass fields behind the stadium but with the addition of a track and field stadium the fields were reduced to 50 yards each. "Not real good," said Bills coach Chan Gailey about the setup. "Very cramped." The shortened fields prevented the Bills from working on elements in the passing game and special teams. "You had to work at the same spot on the field a lot," Gailey said. "We had to go over to the turf and do full special teams. We had to go to the stadium back and forth, things like that. It wasn't terrible but it could be better." (link) Now that the Bills have broken camp and are back in OP with full fields and closed practices, I'm hopeful that we'll have a more effective passing game this week. (I believe the 3rd preseason game is typically when the full offense is 'installed' anyway.)
  23. I have no interest in either of their QBs, and wouldn't be too sure the Panthers are ready to part with The Emu just yet... As he assessed his performance in the postgame interview room, Panthers quarterback Cam Newton said he was "in the business of moving the chains." Business was bad for Newton and the rest of the Panthers’ offense Friday. Maybe not a 400-point-drop-on-Wall Street bad, but bad enough to give pause to anyone who thought Newton was a shoo-in to win the starting quarterback job. In his first exhibition start, Newton threw behind and below receivers, often failed to set his feet and looked confused at times in the Panthers’ 20-10 loss to Miami. 24. The game was at San Francisco (Candlestick Park), not Oakland. I've been to several Bills games at the Oakland Coliseum, and found their fans quite tame.
  25. Here ya go, mead... Tomato Wine
