Why is no one talking Wannstadt?
The Senator replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm also a bit surprised that Wannstache hasn't gotten more media attention - but expect that to change pretty quickly as Buffalo proceeds to totally shut down KC's offense tomorrow. The TV guys will point out the personnel changes (Merriman, Dareus, et al) and how much bigger our guys are this year, and I'd guess that the addition of Wannstadt will be the focus of some media attention... Fear the 'stache -
Should the NCAA test the coaches for drugs?

Forbes Ranks The NFL's Most Valuable Teams
The Senator replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If there was a correlation between lack of profit and winning, the Detroit Lions (-$7.7M) would be the league's most successful franchise, followed by the Cleveland Browns (-$2.9M) and the San Francisco 49ers (+$1.5M). And if all Ralph cared about was profit, the Bills would have moved to Seattle in 1970, or to LA or one of the many other cities pining for a franchise over the 40 years since, yet they are still here. Most of us also have no idea what RW's estate planning has entailed thus far. Care to share your inside info with your fellow Bills fans? . -

The Bills will be in Buffalo long after the Carrier Dome lies in crumbled ruins. You'll get no sympathy from me. Congrats on your successful t-shirt stand -

You mean to say that the owner of an NFL team in one the league's smallest markets - with a $100M+ payroll, roughly $200M in total expenses, less than $50M in gate receipts, and the lowest ticket prices in the league - is doing everything he can to maximize the value of his business enterprise? Wow...that's such a profound concept -

Jerry Sullivan says: This Roster is a crumbling
The Senator replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I enjoy your work, JW. Except for his columns about his crappy golf game, something with which we can all empathize, I find Sullivan unreadable. I also stopped listening to WGR years ago. It's not a sports radio station - it's a bunch of clowns trying to fill air time. I know many here have done the same, so the only reason I think of for a prolonged TSW thread about the idiots at 'GR or the latest Sullivan B word-fest is that someone close to them instigates, then perpetuates the visibility. JMO. -
That's 'cause, prior to being a one year wonder at Auburn, Newton's body of work consisted of stealing laptops, getting kicked out of Florida for academic cheating, and playing junior college football at Blinn. (JMO, but now I think folks will be talking about him for years - and what a bust he was in the NFL. We'll soon see.)

Wouldn't happen if the miserable, sniveling, whining beeotch didn't keep coming here to start threads about his own columns! (Same goes for the idiots at 'GR) -

I feel sorry for Luck, actually - Sam Bradford didn't/doesn't have nearly as much pressure as Andy does to be 'God-like', and Bradford's a much better QB. Same with Landry Jones, maybe Matt Barkley as well - they're both as good or better than Luck, but will not have nearly as much pressure on them because the media is engaged in a love affair with the kid from Stanford and, in doing so, inspiring similar lunacy among the masses (along with total ignorance of the other extremely gifted QBs available in the 2012 draft.) I expect this will change after Stanford faces a legitimate opponent, and as Oklahoma's Landry Jones' fortunes rise along with the Sooners' win count. I just hope Matt Barkley will still be available when the Bills finally pick.

Buffalo Bills 2011: Playoffs...
The Senator replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I expect the Bills to be... -
I thought about that scenario too - the media would love that angle and nothing I'd like more than to see the Eagles makes it the the NFC title game, then lose to the Vikings - but just don't see the Vikings making it that far. The Bills, OTOH, will shock the entire football world this season... 19 and 0 baby!!!!!

Ditto on the ear protection - the first thing that hits your senses is the noise. Then the vivid colors, then the sheer speed once the green flag flies. As long as you don't mind the smell of fuel and rubber, it's actually a pretty cool spectacle - you may even get hooked. -
At long last, one of these teams will finally win a Superbowl... Buffalo Bills 58 Philadelphia Eagles 0 19 and 0 baby!!!!!

Indy radio host says Peyton Manning
The Senator replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't overlook that the Bills also played in the 1988 AFC title game, losing to the Bengals, and that had this not happened in the following season's divisional playoff game against the Browns... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OOWQxv2_M4 ...it might have been 6 straight AFC title games and 5 straight Superbowl appearances. What the Bills of that era accomplished will never be repeated. -

Tom* Brady* is 34 years old, just signed a 4-year $72M contract, then had off-season surgery for a stress-fracture in his* right foot* - in other words, *he's old, expensive, and his* body* will soon start to fail - so I wouldn't even be too shocked to see Brady* traded for someone's #1-pick if Belicheat* thinks he* can get Luck (or Jones, or Barkley).

The Senator replied to TheBlackMamba's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Besides the fact that Schopp's a total wuss, clearly you haven't read how pretty and symmetrical Stevie's face is... Study: Bills are NFL's best looking team Schopp The Dope will fawn all over him like a giggling, star-struck school girl.
