  1. Here's the Buffalo Snooze link... Source: Easley has heart ailment Still pretty vague, and the comments from OBD seem pretty terse... "Coach Chan Gailey on Monday said he’d rather have Easley disclose the ailment. Easley left Friday’s practice early." Link - Washington Post Link - Chris Brown (Other columns have references simply to a "sudden 'mystery' illness" )
  2. My guess is that, if it's something he brought on himself thru sheer stupidity/immaturity (and we'll probably never know - nor are we entitled to know - due to HIPAA), then Gaiely/Nix probably just decided, "eff 'im!" (Easley's $500K signing bonus plus $300K salary for sitting out last season, and $400K this season for being too stupid to do everything to take care of your body and make sure you're in a position to make the roster and contribute to helping the team win, is just the kind of thing that tends to piss-off the guys who write the checks and the coaches/GMs who are struggling to turn the Bills fortunes around, IMO.)
  3. And will complete his degree requirements this Spring. Highly unlikely he'll eschew the NFL draft a second time, but I guess anything's possible. (Theoretically, he could play another year at Stanford - if he enrolls in a Masters program.)
  4. I cannot tell a lie - I was fuming at some of Chan's 'trick-play' selections in the 2nd quarter that forced us to settled for 2 Lindell FGs that should have been Bills TDs, and that he elected to have Fitz 'take a knee' to end the half, rather than take a shot at the end-zone. I thought it should have been 35-0 and game over at the half, rather than 20-7 and the door left open for a Chief's comeback, albeit highly unlikely. Obviously the Bills were never in danger of losing - but I had the nitro tablets close by, just in case.
  5. Indeed... September 2nd - CANISIUS 64, McQuaid 33 September 10th - CANISIUS 41, Elmira 6 September 17th - Bring on St. Joe's... "To build a school on Kenmore Avenue, is to build no school at all." - Rev. James Van Dyke, S.J. CHS Home Opener - 9/17/2011 - 1:00 PM EST - Stransky Athletic Complex, West Seneca, NY GO CRUSADERS!!!! Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam, baby!!!!!
  6. Give the kid a break - he went to Penn State, not Mizzou
  7. Because he's a twenty-something-year-old college kid/Jets fan, and doesn't know who Kelly, Thomas, and Reed are... Link - Chase Stuart
  8. I'd have to agree that 135 yards in Raiders penalties will not help them beat the Bills, despite Hue Jackson's 'philosophy' that... "The most violent team wins" - Hue Jackson (link) That said, the Bills are much bigger on both sides of the ball than last year's roster - tougher as well, at every position, I think. I agree that we can't get stupid with the retaliation penalties, but no way do I see any Bills player backing down from those recidivist thugs... Buffalo 53 ChokeLand - 0 GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!!
  9. It wasn't all that difficult to find, 'ski... Link - WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL RAIDER-HATERS UNIVERSE
  10. I believe this is the hugest Raiders fan...
  11. Here's why...
  12. To me, one of the biggest keys to the KC win was time of possession (Buf 37:02, KC 22:58). Controlling the ball for almost 40 minutes while forcing your opponent to play catch-up from the opening play is a sure formula for victory, I think. Do the same against the Raiders, and we'll win. Also, coaching. The Bills coaching staff seemed to have covered every single base against the Chiefs. Penalties were at a minimum. Gailey had his team well-prepared on offense, defense, and special teams, was fearless in his play-calling, and effectively countered anything and everything the Chiefs attempted. Hard to remember a game where the Bills players and coaching staff executed as well as everyone did this past Sunday. It won't be quite as simple for Chan to out-coach Hue Jackson as it was Todd Haley, but if he takes the Bills into this week's game as well-prepared as he did against KC, victory is ours. I'm predict something on the order of... Buffalo Bills 53 OakTown Raiders - 0 GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!! .
  13. Thanks, that's the one - I think Martin was cut the very next day. (Appparently, an article in The Snooze is like a kiss form Michael Corleone on New Year's Eve!)
  14. Couple of key drops by Donald Jones, I think, coupled with whatever the heck is wrong with Easley that's causing him to miss games and practices. (JMO). Anyway, happy to see Martin back. I thought he'd end up our #2 WR and was surprised he got cut the way he did - especially after that nice feature in the Buffalo Snooze.
  15. So far this season, Fitz has a better QB rating
  16. At least one (I was fuming at half time because we should have already been up 35-0)
  17. Optimism???? 19 and 0 baby!!!! (I'll still cheer for The Pack though - right until late January!) Didn't Harrell have to clear waivers to get back on the PS? I can't understand how you guys keep getting away with stashing him there without losing him - clearly, he's your #2 QB next season after Flynn leaves. Couldn't agree more about Newton - he'll get a dose of reality this week.
  18. To quote Jack Napier, 'Why, Ekhardt, you oughta think about the future..." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpylGd5s93E Asterisks, please (fixed) .
  19. Thanks, and good look against the Panthers - I hear Cam Newton is God-like Also thanks for Nick Barnett - now please send us Graham Harrell. (We need a better backup than Thigpen!)
  20. I was thinking the same thing - this past Sunday just set this franchise back for years!!!
  21. That's a good thing - it's obvious the marketeers in LA are far more savvy than in Buffalo. (Where do you think the Bills got their 'Disney' parking-system idea from?) Plus, it's 3 hours earlier in LA - that would have given them an extra 3 hours to make the jerseys.
  22. I heard Dope & Big Mouth are doing a entire 3-hr show this afternoon on the subject of milk-in-bags
  23. You're forgetting that there's a lot of Bills fans at Busby's in Santa Monica - I can probably get more $$$ per jersey in LA, but I'll have crunch the numbers to see if it's worth driving my truckload of Sam Chandler jerseys out West... ( )
  24. Obviously way too early, but I'm already long on record saying the Bills will be picking late (bottom 3rd of the round) in the draft order. By then, Matt Kahil (OT, USC) will be long gone, but it IS possible that USC QB Matt Barkley could slip that far. (We'd have to be extremely lucky, but the 'Andy and Landry Show' could just steal all the attention from the 20-year-old Barkley, leaving the most promising QB of the 2012 draft for Gailey/Fitz to mentor for the next 3 seasons.) Then in round 2, since we lost Wang... Adcock
  25. I may have to revise my prediction - they (the Raiders) are already banged up a bit... Boss, Murphy and Mitchell ruled out for tonite (It may not be as close as I originally thought )
