Wow, I'm really stupid. I didn't know you could only auction things that are pink.

Again, I'll repeat, show me the data - not the NFL/ACS marketing departments' joint PR releases - and I'll determine the success of the campaign for myself as it relates to the NFL increasing their market-share among women (which is, after all, the NFL's goal in this particular campaign). In the meantime, take the damned pink off of the players. It looks ridiculous. JMO. .

Who do we want to win? Pat's of Jets?
The Senator replied to D521646's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tough call - I hate all our division rivals with a passion. On the one hand, the Jets are 2-2 but no division losses yet - let the Patsies* pound NJ* into the ground, and just worry about beating out NE* to win the AFCE. OTOH, the Cheatriettes* are the the vilest piece anathematic human refuse to ever take the gridiron - I'm given to fits of apoplexy just thinking of them* winning any game. Still, if NJ wins, NE* has another division loss and another conference loss but - after the Bills crush the Eagles - both NJ and NE* will be only one game behind us in the AFCE. Oh well...!@#$ the Cheatriettes* - GO JETS!!!! The Bills will just have do the job themselves and take care of NJ when the time comes... GO BILLSSS!!!! 18 and 1 baby!!!!! -
1) Show me the data - not the NFL/ACS's PR statements - and I'll analyze the campaign's success for myself; 2) Show me any data that says pink is more effective than any other colour, tint, or hue as it relates to raising money and awareness for this cause. .

The ''Mercedes Benz Superdome''
The Senator replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seems odd for a German company to have its name on a stadium where they play what the Germans refer to derisively as 'American football' - but their Euros are as good as any other currency, I guess. I'm not big on seeing corporate logos plastered over every visible inch of public space, but am resigned that the deluge of corporate sponsorship and assault with non-stop advertisements has grown to become a permanent, unpleasant part of our lives. I saw once saw a cap on one of Dennis Connor's America's Cup crew that had - printed on the underside of the bill - 'THIS SPACE AVAILABLE' -
How is it you think the campaign is 'working'? I haven't given a dime to the cause that could be attributed to the campaign, and have spent more time and effort in the last 12 hours trying eradicate the color pink than to fight breast cancer I was wondering if you might know of additional ridiculous, outdated, 70-plus year-old customs/conventions/practices/fashion-trends/etc.? GO BIG PINK?????

Madonna to perform Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show
The Senator replied to /dev/null's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So that's how she's trying to become relevant again. Will she be performing her old crap from the '80s that no one remembers, or brand new crap that no one cares about? -
Yeah, too much cancer. Cancer, bad. Also too much pink. Why not just paint the whole stadium pink? As a volunteer at Roswell and as one whose life is touched by cancer every day (my brother is waging a battle with stage 4 throat/larynx cancer, now metastasizing to his liver and abdomen), I'm all for raising awareness and money in the battle to eradicate the disease. Putting pink gloves, shoes, towels, etc., on football players is a dumb idea. Well intentioned, but stupidly inappropriate on the gridiron. JMO. (BTW, I'm pretty sure Elvis bought the pink Caddy for his mother. At least that's what they told me at Graceland, anyway. Most of Elvis's Cadillacs - and he bought a ton of 'em - were white.)

I know what you mean. I wasn't sure it was a bad call when I first saw the replay - turns out what I thought might be the ball being bobbled was actually a rapid blur of pink gloves, pink towels, and pink shoes...

Predictions for the Second Quarter
The Senator replied to Offside Number 76's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A lot of folks picked the Bills to go 4-12 (or worse) - obviously this team is much better than that. Winning 3 of every 4 would put us at 12-4, and in the playoffs. I say we'll do better than that - winning the next 4, and the next 11 after that... GO BILLSSS!!!! 18 and 1 baby!!!!! . -
Got walter football to change
The Senator replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
More likely it'll stay just the way it is. Cherepinsky is counting on you going back to his site over and over again to check - that's how he earns his living... Walter Cherepinsky was a senior at Central High School in Philadelphia when he created WalterFootball...Now 25 years old, he currently makes over $100,000 a year from advertising revenue from his site... (You did know he's just a kid with a high-traffic web-site and not some sort of football guru, right?) -
Honestly wasn't all that impressed with the offense today, either. Even when the D scored or stopped the BungHoles, the O didn't get it done. Whole team looked flat - stat that sticks out is 4-14 third down efficiency, and being forced to settle for 3 twice Not 100% positive they made the wrong call on Stevie's catch - so not really buyin' the ref argument either. Looked like just a so-so effort from the whole team, as well as Chanstache & Co. So the shuttle has landed, we're all back on earth. Time to start another streak... GO BILLSSS!!!! 18 and 1 baby!!!!!

3-1 .... its about bouncing back

GO BILLSSS!!!! 18 and 1 baby!!!!! -
Clearly, being ahead by 14 at the half causes problems for this team. Chanstache & Co. need to work on that this week... GO BILLSSS!!!! 18 and 1 baby!!!!!
-
Prescient? Probably not - every now and then, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn. You do have other traits that come to mind, though decorum prevents me from enumerating them. GO BILLSSS!!!! 18 and 1 baby!!!!!
-
Well, it was a fun ride - so much fun, in fact, that I'm ready to get right back in line to ride it again... GO BILLSSS!!!! 18 and 1 baby!!!!!
-
Hopefully, Chanstache's halftime adjustments will get the offense going - 7 TDs and 2 FGs gets me close Revised prognostication... Buffalo Bills 72 Cincinnati BungHoles - 3 GO BILLSSS!!!! "I expect to be undefeated." - Chan Gailey 19 and 0 baby!!!!!

My AFCE Picks for Week 4
The Senator replied to It's in My Blood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Something tell me the Cheatriettes* are gonna have a rough time in OakTown today. (Hopefully the Raiders help us out in the AFCE for the 2nd straight week!)
