You ARE kidding, yes? You must be. I don’t want to exaggerate, but I’ve had at least, at the very least, 20 or 30 MRIs. Am going for my next one this Thursday. I have no neurological issues, just quite a bit of cancer, and, never before, but now, claustrophobia. I love the drugs they give me (valium/ativan) before they stuff me in that loud coffin for half an hour or so, but those soporifics really don’t comfort me, keep me awake, nor make me less claustrophobic. Are you saying that, if I went to the Dollar Store and bought a bunch of helium balloons beforehand, it’d be better? I’ll have to try that curative. And inform my oncologists. .

My dad lives across from an elementary school - same one I attended. Once upon that time, a much simpler time, it was mostly cows and cornfields, your closest neighbor at least 100 yds away. Cows used to wander across the street to graze in our yard. Then, the domed stadium deal fell through, and since, Marrano, Essex, et al have bought every available piece of land between Harris Hill and Pavement, and put up at least a couple thousand new housing units. Now, I don’t live there, but spend half my time there. (We moved there to escape the city - now, there are massive traffic jams in Lancaster, but none downtown.) To the point, folks race down that once pastoral venue at 50 in a 30, 50 in a 15 on school days, despite the 15 MPH limit. And even on weekends, the playground is packed with young children. WTF??? They are all young suburbanites, raising young children. Do they not comprehend they’re driving past an elementary school to get home 30 seconds earlier? That they have kids of their own? I would, just once, like to drive down their street at 50, and see how they react. I have vented. Harrummphhh!! . .

So far, I see no proof that we’re moving to a passing attack, not that I wouldn’t be happier if our new O-line and WRs allow Allen options to spread the defense and stretch the field - that opens the field for the running game, which Beane has also vastly improved, IMHO. If we’re planning a Spread/Air-Raid type offense, McDermott needs to do what Belichick does - sit down with Mike Leach. But I don’t see that. (Wish I did, since it seems to have caught on with most NFL teams, and certainly throughout the NCAA.) I see a plan to protect Josh, give him more time in the pocket, WRs/TEs who can both stretch the field and catch a football, and - at the same time - improve our running game. .
