  1. Now how could I poo poo those credentials - 'specially since, when I look at the web page of "NFL.com's main personnel guru", there they are...verbatim... Link - Gil Brandt No sir...no sir-eee!!!! Wouldn't dare argue with a self-proclaimed GURU - "whose innovative management and personnel systems are standard operating procedure today for many teams at the professional and collegiate levels nationwide." (At least, according to him!!!) I'm holding my ground here, papzoid - Brandon Wheeden will be taken before Tannehill, who will last until at least round 3.
  2. Actually, you CAN have 3 RTs on the roster, but the Bills view Hairston as more of a 'swing tackle' (he's currently listed as the #2 LT on the depth chart). But I agree - the Bills would do better to sign a LT (6' 9" - 340 lbs. Jared Gaither?) and, if adding a RT at all, doing it thru the draft where you can get a decent prospect (6' 5"- 325 lbs. Levy Adcock?), put him on the practice squad, develop him, and call on him in case of injuries. GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!!
  3. Variance of opinion duly noted. GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!!
  4. Sign FA LT Jared Gaither AND re-sign Bell. Then draft Stanford RG David DeCastro in the first round.
  5. HOLY CRAP!!!!! Wes Freakin' Bunting said that about Tannehill???? Wow, that sure changes everything!!!!!! Wes Bunting, the National Football Post's director of college scouting, has been monitoring the college football scene since 2002...He completed a football GM and scouting course from Sports Management Worldwide, studying under Marc Trestman and Russ Lande, and has published scouting reports for NFLSmackdown.com, Scout.com and NFLDraftscout.com. He's a member of the Football Writers Association of America. Bunting's opinion is obviously not to be taken lightly...after all, not only has this guy been 'monitoring the college football scene' for a few years now, but he actually took a course - AND and bought a membership card to the Football Writers Assn of America!!!! If Wes Bunting sez that about Tannehill, it's a definite game-changer - the Bills should now try to trade up to #3 to be sure they don't miss out on Bunting's sure-fire future franchise QB!!! GO BILLSSS!!!! "I expect to win every game!" - Chan Gailey 19 and 0 baby!!!!! .
  6. Regarding LT, the Bills will NOT reach for Martin at #10 - look for them to go after Gaither in free agency. I agree Bell may get little outside interest and could end up here in a back-up role. (Our o-line starters were dropping like flies last year, beginning early on and continuing throughout the season - it's crucial for the Bills to add significant depth at every o-line position in order to protect Fitz, buy him time to find the open man, and open holes for the running game, IMO.) GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!!
  7. Jared Gaither will be our next LT, and our sole splash in free agency. If Bell gets no offers, he may find himself here in a backup role.
  8. Actually, we won't - because he will not pass any team’s physical, and will never play another down in the NFL - and for that alone, Gregg Williams should be banned by Goodell from ever coaching again in the the NFL!
  9. 19 and 0 baby!!!!! GO BILLSSS!!!! "I expect to win every game!" - Chan Gailey
  10. I have duly noted our variances of opinion on both Tannehill and Crick, B2 - we can revisit the issue after the draft... GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!!
  11. After 'The Big Trade', I feel even more comfortable with my Bills mock draft - especially my first-round pick... R1 - David DeCastro, RG, Stanford (6'5", 310 lbs.) R2 - Dont'a Hightower, ILB, Alabama (6'4", 260 lbs.) R3 - Chandler Jones, DE, Syracuse (6'5", 265 lbs.) R4a-Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech (6'5", 206 lbs.) R4b-Kevin Zeitler, OG, Wisconsin (6'4", 315 lbs.) R5a-Terrell Manning, OLB, NC State (6'3", 233 lbs.) R5b-Jeff Fuller, WR, Texas A&M (6'4", 220 lbs.) R6 - Nick Foles, QB, Arizona (6'5", 240 lbs.) R7a-Levi Adcock, RT, Oklahoma State (6'5", 322 lbs.) R7b-Jared Crick, DE, Nebraska (6'4", 279 lbs.) GO BILLSSS!!!! "I expect to win every game!" - Chan Gailey 19 and 0 baby!!!!!
  12. Tannenhill won't be drafted before the 3rd round.
  13. Thanks, H20 - but rather than claim extreme prescience or psychic powers, I prefer to think of myself more as a 'Patrick Jane' sort of 'Mentalist', with keen powers of observation! IMHO this was a highly-predictable trade and, as usual, Dan Snyder has proven why he is among the most incompetent over-spending evaluators of talent - both coaching and playing - that ever owned an NFL franchise! GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!! .
  14. From this week's 30 Rock... Hank's granddaughter, Kaylie Hooper (Chloe Grace Moretz) is pleased upon destroying the America's Kidz finale, thereby tarnishing Jack's reputation. Jack has every intention of destroying Kaylie until her tiny tears reveal a neglected, scared little girl. Accompanying the abandoned girl to the principal's office Jack quickly catches Kaylie in her web of lies and encourages her expulsion... "I could get her expelled, sent off to some second rate boarding school, then onto that last bastion of the incompetent rich, U.S.C." That said, I LOVE Matt Barkley - it is an absolute, incontrovertible statement of FACT that he will be FAR superior to both Andy Luck AND RGIII. For the Bills to have a shot at him, we would have either suck this season, or trade away multiple future top draft picks for the next 3-4 drafts, or some combination of both. I do not want us to suck, nor trade away our future draft picks. Fitz is our QB for the forseeable future, and I am more than fine with that. We CAN go all the way with Fitz at QB. We'll just have to find our future Tom Brady* or Kurt Warner buried deep in this draft or next year's. Obviously, it has been done before - and most certainly will happen again. GO BILLSSS!!!! "I expect to win every game." - Chan Gailey 19 and 0 baby!!!!!
  15. That IS good news for Bills fans - Sanchez sucks, and now he will suck for Rex Ryan in New Jersey for the next 2-3 seasons. (Also guess this means the Manning Bros. have decided that New Jersey just ain't big enuff for both of them!)
  16. 19 and 0 baby!!!!
  17. Yet another reason why Crick's stock will continue to fall.
  18. You mean while he was playing QB at Arkansas???? (You do realize that Mallett was an NFL rookie last season, yes? Did Fitz get killed playing behind the Bills o-line last season?) GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!! .
  19. Thanks BB - my dream draft is just that - plus it is pre Free Agency acquisitions and losses, which obviously could change our needs somewhat. However, I stand by my opinion of Crick - I see slow, damaged goods and lots of weaknesses. I see him going in round 7 or being signed as an undrafted FA. As for my proclivity toward stacking the o-line, B2, my reasoning should be obvious... It would be natural to assume that Mike Leach's spread offense would lead the coach to make quarterbacks and receivers his top priority in recruiting. His first recruiting class at Washington State...with the addition of 28 players, suggests otherwise. Leach and the Cougars received letters of intent from seven offensive linemen, a total that makes up a quarter of their total signees. That wasn't by accident. "This is a little-known fact -- and part of it is because our quarterbacks have gotten tremendous stats over the years, we've got two marquee receivers in the NFL with Wes Welker and Michael Crabtree -- but the single position we have the most guys in the NFL is offensive line. It's probably the position I cherish the most because I coached offensive line for 10 years...Offensive line and defensive line is why they have football to begin with, so you can see huge people collide with others of various shapes and sizes." - Mike Leach GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!! .
  20. Drew Brees is a little piece of crap. That incontrovertible certitude aside, I agree wholeheartedly with you about quality interior linemen - as well as quality depth at ALL o-line positions... R1 - David DeCastro, RG, Stanford (6'5", 310 lbs.) R2 - Dont'a Hightower, ILB, Alabama (6'4", 260 lbs.) R3 - Chandler Jones, DE, Syracuse (6'5", 265 lbs.) R4a-Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech (6'5", 206 lbs.) R4b-Kevin Zeitler, OG, Wisconsin (6'4", 315 lbs.) R5a-Terrell Manning, OLB, NC State (6'3", 233 lbs.) R5b-Jeff Fuller, WR, Texas A&M (6'4", 220 lbs.) R6 - Nick Foles, QB, Arizona (6'5", 240 lbs.) R7a-Levi Adcock, RT, Oklahoma State (6'5", 322 lbs.) R7b-Jared Crick, DE, Nebraska (6'4", 279 lbs.) GO BILLSSS!!!! "I expect to win every game!" - Chan Gailey 19 and 0 baby!!!!!
  21. So now he's walking with two canes?
  22. Just put the finishing touches on my '2012 Buffalo Bills Dream Draft' - clearly we differ on where Crick will be picked... R1 - David DeCastro, RG, Stanford (6'5", 310 lbs.) R2 - Dont'a Hightower, ILB, Alabama (6'4", 260 lbs.) R3 - Chandler Jones, DE, Syracuse (6'5", 265 lbs.) R4a-Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech (6'5", 206 lbs.) R4b-Kevin Zeitler, RG, Wisconsin (6'4", 315 lbs.) R5a-Terrell Manning, OLB, NC State (6'3", 233 lbs.) R5b-Jeff Fuller, WR, Texas A&M (6'4", 220 lbs.) R6 - Nick Foles, QB, Arizona (6'5", 240 lbs.) R7a-Levi Adcock, OT, Oklahoma State (6'5", 322 lbs.) R7b-Jared Crick, DE, Nebraska (6'4", 279 lbs.) GO BILLSSS!!!! "I expect to win every game!" - Chan Gailey 19 and 0 baby!!!!!
  23. Other than knowing that Iowa and Wisconsin are basically O-line factories, Bill, I'm actually fairly impartial when it comes to schools - but certainly have no problems with drafting 'bama's entire D this year!!!! Anyway, I was just putting the final touches on my '2012 Bills' Dream Draft' as I read your post - here' goes nothin'... R1 - David DeCastro, RG, Stanford (6'5", 310 lbs.) R2 - Dont'a Hightower, ILB, Alabama (6'4", 260 lbs.) R3 - Chandler Jones, DE, Syracuse (6'5", 265 lbs.) R4a-Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech (6'5", 206 lbs.) R4b-Kevin Zeitler, OG, Wisconsin (6'4", 315 lbs.) R5a-Terrell Manning, OLB, NC State (6'3", 233 lbs.) R5b-Jeff Fuller, WR, Texas A&M (6'4", 220 lbs.) R6 - Nick Foles, QB, Arizona (6'5", 240 lbs.) R7a-Levi Adcock, RT, Oklahoma State (6'5", 322 lbs.) R7b-Jared Crick, DE, Nebraska (6'4", 279 lbs.) And, as always, not a single one of these picks will will happen! BTW - in the long run, you & I will be proven right about Ryan Mallet (just as I will about Graham Harrell, whom the Bills FINALLY tried to steal from GB late last season) - Mallett will be the stud/standout QB in NE* for years to come after Brady* retires! GO BILLSSS!!!! "I expect to win every game!" - Chan Gailey 19 and 0 baby!!!!! .
  24. Yea I like Jones too (and I'm not really a big 'cuse fan, but my school has more lax & hockey than pro football prospects) - hope we can maybe pick him up the the 3rd round. Wouldn't mind a look at Provo either, but see him more as an undrafted FA. GO BILLSSS!!!! "I expect to win every game!" - Chan Gailey 19 and 0 baby!!!!! .
  25. Doesn't want to waste a second, eh? That's as stupid and disingenuous as anything that ever came out of that lying a-hole's mouth. (How many HOURS have those two morons wasted talking about date movies, or 'milk-in-bags', etc.?) .
