  1. That's a fascinating idea. I wonder why no one has even thought to mention it before?
  2. You realize you just compared our 7th-round pick (#219 overall), that never played organized football until his sophomore year at Northwestern State, to Stanford's Jonathan Martin - the #2 or #3 rated LT prospect (depending on who you read) in the 2012 NFL draft, yes? .
  3. The Bills have 30 scheduled visits at OBD with potential draftees, plus as many prospects from the Buffalo area as they care to entertain (since local prospects from a team's own metro-area do not count against each team's limit of 30 draft-eligible prospects). Clearly, the Bills have only 9 draft picks - not 30 - so I wouldn't read too much into each and every news item about a draft-eligible prospect being invited for a visit to OBD. These visits just as often serve to eliminate certain prospects from the Bills draft board (or confirm whether a lower round prospect should be 'moved-up' on the Bills' draft board - or a higher round prospect 'moved-down') just as often as they serve to enhance the draft chances of those 'under-the-radar' picks that pleasantly surprise us every year. I have no historical data to base this on - just a hunch - but I'll guess that just as many players (and maybe even more) that have not been invited to visit OBD are drafted by Buffalo as players who are invited for a visit. (I'll also go a step further and state unequivocally that the Bills will NOT be drafting Martin.)
  4. That would be David DeCastro...
  5. Yeah but when he said that, he actually thought he was being clever - dude's so stupid that he didn't realize how vilified Bullough was after that remark. God...now that I think about it, both those guys - Williams and Mularkey - were so repugnant that they actually made Dick Jauron look like such a class act. (Which, BTW, he was - just not such a great HC.) GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 anx 0 baby!!!!! .
  6. We draft him in round 3, after taking DeCastro in round 1 and Hightower in round 2.
  7. Honestly...I hope they don't pay him for that crap - I put more effort into some of my TSW posts than he did into that POS. Plus, when did he stop using his famous catch-phrase, "Dy-no-Mite!" ???
  8. I'm thinkin' fullback.
  9. I think the Dolphins will feel (as I do) that Weeden is the best QB after Luck and RGIII - and that he is mature enough to start right away, having pitched in the Yankees farm system for 3 years before walking on at OSU. Personally, I like Weeden a lot - but don't see what he adds to the Bills equation. He's as old as Fitz, but doesn't have the 6 years of NFL experience, the instinctive knowledge of the our TEs' and WRs' route-running habits, nor the rapport with and respect from our receivers, o-line, coaching staff, and entire team that Fitz has built over 3 seasons here. I think the Bills are going to select Arizona's Nick Foles on day 3 of the draft - probably in round 6 - as a QB to develop behind Fitz for 3-4 years. JMO.
  10. Tannehill's a round 3 pick at the earliest - I'm thinkin' more like round 4.
  11. The Dolphins will take him in round 2.
  12. And I believe much...make that most...of what Buddy says. What I don't believe is that he's going to give us or any other NFL GMs any indication at all what his true intentions are regarding the draft... GO BILLSSS!!!! 13. DeCastro did 34 reps... link ...and showed some skill at center, snapping the ball to Luck all afternoon.
  14. FWIW... 'The 27-year-old Bell has met with and is reportedly still in talks with the Redskins, though the Bills have not given up hope on retaining the 6-foot-5, 307-pounder.' Link - Redskins Talk Just a 'tummy feel' - but I'm thinkin' Bell will eventually come back home.
  15. Looks like the big, nasty, future All Pro right guard can play center as well
  16. You can watch Luck & DeCastro at Stanford's Pro Day right now... link
  17. Well then, Dopey...then I guess you'd be as obnoxious as any unruly NYer prone to acts of violence against another human being simply for expressing a differing opinion - and thusly would also charged with assault. Now you're gettin' The Holy Spirit I'm sorry you did too... but ya did! I never once grouped all NYers as maggots - I travel to NYC frequently on business and pleasure, have many friends who live there, find the vast majority of NYers (aside from Jets fans, who are actually mostly from New Jersey anyway) to be wonderful people, and the quality and variety of social, culinary, and cultural experiences unsurpassed. The indisputable fact remains, however, that the city with the largest US population will also have a proportionally high number of human maggots, cockroaches, and miscreants. Like Fireman Ed .
  18. Well now just how would I do that, given the Giants fan agreed to drop the charges before any trial occurred? Duh... The simple, incontrovertible FACT - now matter how vehement (and futile) your protestations - is that a NJ judge agreed that probably cause did indeed exist... "Jets superfan "Fireman Ed" Anzalone could face a simple assault charge after allegedly shoving Tinton Falls resident Christopher Black during the Giants-Jets preseason game on Aug. 16 at New Meadowlands Stadium. Black's lawyer, Alexander Iler, said an East Rutherford judge agreed to charge Anzalone after a probable cause hearing." Link
  19. Ya know what??? After watching that video countless times, I STILL can't see the part where the Giants fan shoved "Idiot Ed", or otherwise placed his hands on him in any way at all. Maybe you can tell me where that shows up on the clip??? If you can't, then the actions of "Idiot Ed" constitute an unprovoked assault - and a judge agreed. Don't know quite what Ed had to do to convince the Giants fan to drop the charges - but Ed's an a-hole, regardless. Simply 'Tebow-ing' seems so much more civil
  20. I dunno the answer to that one, Dopey...I guess you'd get a better answer from the Giants fan that the idiot assaulted... New Jersey Jets - 9-7 NE Cheatriettes*- 6-10 Miami Dolphins - 3-11 GO BILLLSSS!!!! "I expect to be undefeated...I expect to win every game." - Chan Gailey .
  21. Hey...a little 'mass-Tebow-ing' beats some drunken retired fireman from New Jersey running around the stadium displaying his spelling prowess after pounding beers all afternoon .
  22. I will not scream bloody murder if Reiff is the pick - I actually like a 6'6 315 lb. Iowa Hawkeye OT that can outrun the cops on foot for 20 minutes! Just be aware of how things turned out with fellow Hawkeye and "sure-to-be-All Pro-Future-HoF-Franchise-LT" Robert Gallery...after being touted as "the best lineman to come out of college in years" with a perfect 9.0 Draft Prospect Rating and selected with the #2 overall pick by Oakland in 2005, Gallery ranked 4th in the league at LT in 'sacks allowed' in 2006 (despite missing 6 games). He was finally moved to left guard and is now on his 3rd NFL team (after the Raiders cut their losses, Gallery signed a 3-year deal with Seattle in 2011, was released after one season, and just recently signed on with the Cheatriettes*). The jury is still out on Gallery's replacement at Iowa and also very-highly touted LT prospect - Green Bay's Bryan Bulaga. Left Tackles are NEVER a sure thing in the draft - the only 'sure thing' about them is that the higher you draft them, the more they cost you...and the bigger the 'bust potential'. Reiff had a so-so performance at the combine, reviews on his pro day are also 'mixed... An analysis of the day's workouts, according to sources who were in attendance: Reiff did not look like a premier athlete worthy of a top 10 pick. At 312 pounds, he looked the same as he did at the Combine, a little fleshy with a bit of a gut. He did 26 reps on the bench press and had a 29 1/2-inch vertical jump. His positional workout was solid and he showed the strength and hand use that NFL teams expected, but he also displayed a narrow base and was slightly straight-legged in drills. As a result, he leaned and reached more than expected from a top athlete. Despite the so-so workout, Reiff will still be drafted in the first round. link Go with the sure thing - the guaranteed day one starter and All-Pro for the next 10 years - Right Guard David DeCastro...
