Yes I would be disappointed with those picks; yes somebody thinks Martin won't turn into a quality starter. The first two days of the Bills draft should go like this: Day One (Round 1, #10 overall) - David Decastro, RG/C/OT, Stanford Day Two (Round 2, #41 overall) - Dont'a Hightower, ILB, Alabama Day Two (Round 3, #71 overall) - Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech GO BILLSSS!!!! CJ or Fred? You can only keep one

Your argument is non-compelling, SJBF. If you are so bothered by the man's surname, the problem is very easily ameliorated. Draft Decastro with the #10 pick in round one and, on day 3, simply... Adcock Levy Adcock, who did not receive a combine invitation to the surprise of many, also proved he's next-level material. The big lineman looked terrific in bag drills and moved around the field with ease. As described by those at the workout, Adcock is more athletic than given credit for and can line up at any of three positions on the offensive line. The prevailing thought is Adcock will be selected at the start of the draft's final day. (link - SI)

I've been predicting DeCastro as Buddy's #1 pick since early February... Dude is a 'can't-miss-zero-bust-potential' successful round-one selection, a guaranteed year-one starter (and guaranteed future 10-year all-pro) at right guard, can certainly also play center year one if we need to 'spell' Eric Wood for any length of time - and has the size, strength, speed, skills, mean streak, and certainly the 'smarts' to learn and excel at just about any o-line task the Bills envision for him over time. Link -2012 NFL Draft: David DeCastro And The Power O Run Play Link - 2012 NFL Scouting Combine - David DeCastro Just think of the holes this guy's gonna blast open for Freddie & CJ, the yardage and rushing TDs they'll pile on, and how that steady punishing running game will allow Fitz & Stevie to exploit the big pass play... Now if Payton AND GM Mickey Loomis are both suspended, how is it that either one of them can still be making personnel decisions? -

What you need to understand that trolls like this come out of the woodwork around this time, post a bunch of stupid sh]t just to get a rise, then disappear to one of their other screen names that they use once a year or so. (OP joined in 2001, has 22 posts, and THIS is one of his ruminations?) -

Still say Miami will take Weeden, who's mature enough to start this season - Tannehill will likey go undrafted.
-
OK, I'm beginning to see a scenario where the Bills actually would trade up for Tannehill... If Arizona's Nick Foles somehow goes before the Bills can grab him in round 6, I could see Buffalo offering both their 7th-round picks to some team for a chance to draft Tannehill in the 6th.
-
Well yeah, that could happen too. And also don't forget...anyone with any brains knows Andy Luck won't pass up the opportunity to eschew his senior year, declare for the draft early, play in the NFL, and earn mega-$$$$...just to play another year at Stanford and finish up some stupid architecture degree!

The Bengals covet DeCastro, the Cowboys want him, now there's some noise out of Green Bay and a few other places as well. Two other mocks show DeCastro going right after the Bills pick - one has him to KC at #11; the other to Seattle at #12. As I've maintained since early February, DeCastro is our guy at #10 in round one - if he lasts 'til then... GO BILLSSS!!!! Demetrius Bell - Now an Eagle

From what I've read, the Redskins seem to be interested in him not as a LT but to fill a void at RT - for RT money. Meanwhile, no further interest from Arizona (of the Redskins, for that matter) since his visit over 10 days ago. (Seems when the Bills want someone in free agency, they know what they're willing to pay and go all-out to sign the guy!) It'd be nice to have Bell back - he knows the system, and is a serviceable starting LT (when healthy). Having him back would also keep the Bills from having to 'reach' for a LT in the draft. (IMO, neither Martin nor Reiff will be a starting NFL LT this season - maybe never - and I wouldn't draft either of 'em.) OTOH, if he dicks the Bills around all the way up to the draft, looking and waiting for that better offer that's not gonna come anyway, I say the Bills have to cut their losses on the guy and do what they need to in the draft to start preparing for life after Bell. That likely means drafting David DeCastro (who will be an All-pro guard for the next 10 years, and can also play center quite well) at the #10 spot, maybe having Levitre available to spell Hairston at LT, and picking up another free agent journeyman LT and/or drafting a Levi Adcock on day 3. So, Demetrius, if you and your agent are watching, the clock keeps ticking - and the longer you do nothing, the more likely you'll be signing that 'veteran minimum' deal somewhere other than Buffalo... Bills have meeting with Stanford LT Martin
The Senator replied to mob16151's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, FWIW, here's a partial list (20) of last year's pre-draft visitors to One Bills Drive: (The ones listed in bold visited OBD, but were NOT drafted by Buffalo ) Seven defensive linemen: Da'Quan Bowers, Cameron Jordan, Marcell Dareus, Nick Fairley, J. J. Watt, Robert Quinn, Christian Ballard Three Quarterbacks: Cam Newton, Blaine Gabbert, Christian Ponder Five Pass Rushers: Von Miller, Ryan Kerrigan, Justin Houston, Brooks Reed, Bruce Carter Two Inside Linebackers: Kelvin Sheppard, Quan Sturdivant One Offensive Tackle: Gabe Carimi One Center: Colin Baxter One Cornerback: Patrick Peterson Now, based on that admittedly small and unscientific sample, I'd have to say that - if anything - a visit to One Bills Drive increases your chances of being drafted by someone else!
