Nobody in their right mind believes that he's ever going to be the same athlete he was. But he had enough wiggle room as an athlete that there's a solid chance he can still be "good" if not great.

I was stunned when they signed him and even more so when they actually put him on the field that quick. Bizarre decision. The only good news is that his tape pre-Achilles must have looked good enough to do so, thereby confirming our thoughts that he had finally recovered from the ACL and was playing well. Three different successful NFL GMs have been impressed enough with his post ACL tape to disagree with this and sign him. Maybe you should be open to the possibility that the young man can still play.
