If they were playing for something external, like a coach, it would have fallen apart well before now, imo. I think they'll continue scrapping and grinding just as hard as they have been as long as the playoffs are a possibility. After that, all bets are off.

Agreed. I think there might be a little less intensity and focus over there as well, which is a common result when you you have that kind of success. I'm also a little suspicious that Mahomes body might be starting to give him some trouble. He was never a world class specimen and has played a lot of games over the last 6 years.

They averaged about 19pts/game last year and are averaging about 20pts/game this year; a number that will likely still drop with games left against SF, NYJ and Dal. I wouldn't call that far superior. And I think Sam Howell is better than anything they were putting on the field last year; they should be better than they have been. I'm not trying to rag on Bienenemy, I just think the Chiefs struggles have little to do with his absence.

I think the Chiefs real OC is still standing on the sideline with an XXL headset.

I don't think Big Goon is going to be attending any training camps at this point but I'd be happy to see the Bills sign him mid-season again.
