  1. I get this. But in my head, until they're not the Browns; they are still the Browns.
  2. I am happy for the guy; he clearly loves to play and I'm really glad to that he gets to because he's earned it. I just think that in a few weeks after a couple JAG quality games, there is going to be spoiled-rotten little brats running around here tossing around 3rd grade nicknames crying about how he's stealing money from the Bills after he's been busting his ass doing intense rehab for months. That might be the first time I'd literally have to turn my head or leave the room for a play that I couldn't bear to watch. If he makes it, I might not even be able to watch a replay until the next day when I could eventually start to believe that a procedural flag wasn't going to come flying into the locker room during the post-game celebration.
  3. You know we're going to get there just to get blown out, right?
  4. I'm sure you do. I'm also sure you've never bled yourself out on a defense that is constantly being screwed by an incompetent offense. Protect yourself time is a real thing, whether you are aware of it or not.
  5. Love the guy and love his game. But this is not some panacea to cure all ills. He's going to be less powerful and it's likely that it will be harder for him to hold the POA, to push the pocket, to hold guys off and move down the line and he's going to be available less as well. The only reason he's playing is because he's probably just hitting the point where he can now be equally effective as Poona Ford and that is where the expectations should lie, imo. That should slowly improve as the weeks pass but for right now, I can't expect too much out of him. I just hope people don't turn on him like they have with other injured players that didn't meet fan's ill-informed unrealistic expectations.
  6. This isn't the place for that kind of stuff. Thank you.
  7. They went for 10 straight weeks to open the season without letting anybody score more than 30 on them. The Bills were the first team to do so. They'd been extremely good until the last few weeks when it became time for guys to start mailing it in and focusing on protecting themselves.
  8. If he's as effective as he was earlier, I'll definitely be surprised. No, it's nowhere close to an ACL. But it's only been a few months since he tore the largest muscle in his upper body which is also the one that carries the primary responsibility for generating any power above his waist. He's going to have more trouble anchoring and holding the POA, he's going to have more trouble keeping guys off and getting down the line, he's going to have more trouble pushing the pocket, he's going to be available for fewer snaps, etc. I love the guy and his game, but I'm seriously at the point where I'm questioning whether him at 80% is going to be more effective than Poona Ford at 100%. 🤷‍♂️
  9. Today was a walk-through. Even when Jones does get back on the field, he's just not going to be the same guy we saw at the beginning of the year.
  10. They have the 2nd best record in the NFL; of course their fans think they're good. Or maybe your friend is just kind of a dick and it has nothing to do with the Dolphins and you're now realizing you need better friends. 🤷‍♂️

  12. The fact that you are adamant that there is no freaking way the Bills should lose on the road to the team with the 2nd best record in the NFL is hilarious.
  13. This is a gigantic load of dung. You can turn on a television any day of the week and find somebody singing his praises.
  14. He got hurt on the last sack he took. Might have tweaked a groin or jammed a wrist but something stung him.
  15. Not too sure about that. SF was clearly unfocused tonight all over the field and up and down the sideline. I think you'll see a very different team mentally when they're not playing with house money on Christmas night.
  16. [This is an automated response] As a courtesy to the other board members, please use more descriptive topic titles. A single name if far too vague to post as a title and provides little insight into what specifically the post is talking about. The topic starter can edit the topic title line to make it more appropriate. Thank you.
  17. Not going to be around tonight so I'll drop these now. If Bill or SDS wants to put fresh ones up at gametime, have at it please.
  18. Yeah, I saw that eventually and all I could think of was 200 miles of Wall Drug signs across S Dakota.
  19. Thanks Promo, I'd never heard of that but will definitely bring it up the next time I see him.
