Or it may have something to do with the next play being a spike?
Or maybe they added some proviso regarding the last 2:00 of a game?
I wonder if they added a proviso in the offseason about the play before a spike?
Or something to try to prevent teams rushing to the line to get a play off before the booth can get a look?
