Just a note that is was actually Moss on that play. McDermott had finally got down from his high horse and put him back on the field for a snap, only to see him get blown up 3 yrds in the backfield by a DT that beat Boettger to the spot.

He may not have set the world on fire last night , but he was solid and reliable for the majority of this snaps. Seems a bit stiff getting to his spot on occasion but when he gets you locked up, you generally stay that way. At the very least, you can put him out there and assume he's not going to get blown up in a way that makes it impossible to sustain drives. The difference between he and Winters is glaring, as we saw when Mongo went out briefly last night.

I'll give some props to Doug Whaley for his parting gift. He wasn't doing good enough work to remain as GM of the Bills but he is the one who pushed the Pegulas into hiring McDermott. It was the only coach he truly got to pick during his tenure and it's turned out to be a very good choice.

I can't even remember the last time we had a staff that was both adaptable and effective. This is really great to watch.

They've done a great job the last two weeks utilizing both him and Klein. They've been really conscientious about covering their weaknesses and putting them into position to succeed, even gong out of there way to make real changes on the fly to do it. Good stuff from a coaching staff showing some real adaptability.

Not for an entire game though. You want to sit him for a series or tow to make a point? OK. But his skillset is unique and too important to your offense to leave on the sideline all day because he made one rare mistake. If Moss isn't hurt, then McDermott is hurting his team.

They've got to get him off the field right now, even just to get Jackson some reps.

I don't believe that for a second. You're trying to win a football game and Moss is your guy in that situation.

There's no way in hell McDermott doesn't have Moss out there on that series if he's healthy. 😔

That one's on me. 10 seconds before that play I was taking great satisfaction in that the Bills finally had what is going to be their best starting OLine on the field for the rest of the year.

I think he's moving up the depth chart in the coaches minds. He was on the field a ton in key situations last week.
