Saturday Football Thread: PIT@BAL & HOU@KC (no Bills stuff please)
Simon replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think they're a great team, but they typically will not shoot themselves in the foot like everybody else who plays KC. They can keep it close throughout and still have a chance to win by not making a mistake late. -

Spags backside blitz on that 3rd down where Stroud stupidly ate the ball ended this game. -
I haven't seen Texas enough to comment. I will say that I have always generally agreed that usually the top 5 in the SEC, the Top 4 in the Big 10 and Oregon are the 10 best teams in the country.

An hour ago, absolutely. But in the 4th qrtr, that has ramifications that likely affect the scoreboard late . -
He might be able to get to 4. But telling me that a 5 loss Florida team is better than Penn State is worth a kick in the jimmie....

Well at least now you've hit your quota for the day

Diontae Johnson to the Ravens (now claimed by Houston)

That's fair. He's not slow but his long speed doesn't match his short area quickness. -

A buddy of mine (a large man who was an all-state LB in HS) was having a party in Pburgh back in the day where Craig Heyward showed up and started causing some trouble. Buddy (who is now a brilliant MD) proceeds to sucker punch Ironhead right in the face. Heyward didn't so much as flinch then proceeded to chase my guy all over their house. Enough guys ran just enough interference for him that he managed to escape through a window. -

This game could actually be more dangerous for the Chief's injury report than their W/L columns. -
I almost wonder if you haven't accidentally stumbled into an upgrade at QB.

The only dogs they can't run with are OSU and Oregon; arguably the two best programs in the country and they're one score behind both of them. I've been looking forward to seeing them play some top teams outside their conference and this tournament should fill the bill. SMU is a tricky matchup, but I think they're better all around and have a really nice path to a championship game (where they'll probably lose by one score again )

The only spot where I'd disagree is his athletic ability. While I haven' seen him recently, I saw him plenty in P'burgh and he was literally one of the quickest human beings I have ever seen in my life. He was still a dipstick that couldn't catch a cold, but by gawd could that boy move. -
I thought it would get a lot more action over here. If you like, I can relocate the already existing one to the main forum; I didn't realize somebody had started one.
-
I cannot trust Ryan Day; I think he's dumber than a chicken. Agreed on everything else. Gabriel is the perfect college QB and I think Oregon is probably the best team in the tournament. I also think they got kind of screwed in the bracket though; they have to deal with both OSU and Texas while a weaker GA team gets Notre Dame and Penn State.

Not me. I go back and change my posts all the time. It's the reason I am always right! <hustles to go edit opinion of Spencer Brown>

We've never really had the opportunity to have one of these before. Thought there might be some interest even though it's not the NFL. As always, please keep the Bills commentary out of here and in the dozens of other Bills threads so we don't sidetrack this one. Thanks and have fun!

This is exactly what it seems like from my current outside perspective. I have to wonder if they made a significant effort to add those necessary vets in the offseason and couldn't get anybody on board, hence Adams' palm tree (Hey, I tried) comment. I hope they don't tear it down prematurely; there has got to be some way to get the handful of vets they need to come on board. I sort of liken it to the Amari Cooper situation. The addition of a vet or two in the Top 6 (or Top 4 D) would go a long ways to slotting the rest of the group "down" where they actually belong.
-
Neither. I literally just told you I haven't seen them so I have no idea.
-
Is this really true or are you putting on the homer glasses? I haven't seen them so I have no idea. I'm really annoyed that yesterday I was doing my Christmas shopping, bought my daughter's fiancé a Penguin's hat but couldn't bring myself to buy my daughter a matching Sabres' hat.

No, he's the gift that keeps on giving. Keep 'em straight!
-
He doesn't, but I do think he's setting up deeper than he used to because he knows he can get away with it.
-
I think he's also been setting up deeper as the year goes on, to take advantage of the leeway that officials are giving the Tackles.
