  1. Considering the amount of screeching and wailing in this post, I find it delightfully ironic that you are referring to other Bills fans as crybabies.
  2. Actually those last two are not facts, they are merely your opinion. And not everyone in this topic agrees on it.
  3. Considering want vs need; the Bills needs in order of importance. 1) A young dynamic outside 'backer that's versatile and hostile 2) A quality LT 3) A veteran outside 'backer that's ready to go on day one 4) A big strong reliable go-to receiver with some speed We need those things to be legitimate competitors As for wants: > I want another young interior 'backer to play next to Barnett, but that can wait a year > I want a TE who opposing co-ordinators have to plan for, but Chandler is reliable enough to do for now > I want another young corner but we're probably OK with Florence/Williams and McKelvin in the slot for the time being
  4. Maybe we should pass the hat and collect a little Do-Re-Mi. I'd be willing to kick in a couple weeks worth of salary. About how much would it cost to keep DeSean Jackson as far away from Buffalo as possible?

  8. I'll give you the first one, but there was nothing wrong with that second throw. I don't know if he misplayed it or if he was trying to keep from getting whacked by Leonhard, but he should have got his hands on that ball.
  9. If the Bills intend to run a 3-4, Dwan Edwards absolutely belongs on your list. And unless Kelvin Sheppard packs on about 20lbs of muscle, he can go share an apartment in Canada w/ Reggie Corner.
  10. You think he's controversial now? Wait 'til he comes out of the closet!

  12. I want some of you to go outside right now and run a 40 yard sprint at your absolute top end speed. 30 yards into that sprint I want you to turn around, locate a small moving target in the air in less than .5 seconds, judge its trajectory and get your hands on it. And when you turn yourself around, I want to see you maintain that full speed without stumbling or losing any momentum whatsoever. After you've done this a few times, pick yourself up off the ground, wipe all the mud and leaves off yourself and take a minute to think about what a coach could possibly tell you to make you able to perfectly execute such an intricate, athletic maneuver without any loss of speed. When you realize there is no answer to that, you'll then realize this is not a coaching issue.

  14. That is almost exactly my list as well. The only change I would make is to pull Hoop Dreams and put in North Dallas Forty. Good call on When We Were Kings; a truly awesome piece of film.

  18. That's as patently wrong and foolish the 10th time you've said it as it was the first.
  19. Andra Davis is the only one on that list who's issues are not injury related. He's one of only 2 NFL quality LB's we have on this roster and Edwards has him glued to the bench. This irritates the hell out of me as it has been so glaringly obvious the last couple weeks that this defense is in desperate need of leadership and toughness. Davis provides both of those in spades yet he's standing around watching Sheppard get his ass kicked all over the field. Well, Sheppard is too light in the ass to fill the hole and he's too slow to cover a TE or a RB. He's always late to the pile and plays with no power on the rare occasions he gets there on time. But yeah, aside from having no instincts or strengths whatsoever, he's a lot better. I'd put Jackson right next to Wood as the two offensive leaders, probably 1 and 1a. I'd put Barnett down the list behind all the guys listed in the original post, only because it's his first year here. He's easily been the best LB on the field but Williams, Kelsay, Merriman and Davis have all been here longer. Right now Jackson and Barnett (with a nod to McIntyre) might be the only actual leaders we have on the field right now. And that spells trouble.
  20. Sean Merriman Kyle Williams Chris Kelsay Andra Davis Eric Wood This might very well be the top 5 leaders on this football team and due to injury and/or foolish coaching, all of them have been marginalized and removed from positions of leadership. This is probably just too much to overcome.
  21. Looks like another good day to go out and work on some more Christmas lights. Y'all turn off your TV's and you'll have a much better day!
  22. Have at it, folks. My initial thoughts are that this defensive staff needs to go away forever. It was bad enough watching the Jets punch us up last week while our toughest 'backer was glued to the bench and Sheppard got tossed all over the field. Now we get to watch the Cowboys staff immediately attack McGee in the slot (where he doesn't belong) and Leodis on the edge (where he doesn't belong). I like Chan but if he doesn't toss his entire defensive staff out the door at the conclusion of the season, he is making a mistake that might prevent him from ever accomplishing what he wants here.
