  1. Apparently one of us has no idea what to look for, because I also missed him being "incredible". He spent the majority of the year being a player who couldn't shed blocks, showed limited agility and quickness, played with no pop or power at all and was incapable of covering anybody in this league. But aside from struggling to do the whole running, tackling and banging things, yeah, he was incredible! Unless he makes a dramatic improvement in both mind and body, he has no business whatsoever starting in the NFL right now.
  2. Speaking of Rev, I'll go ahead and throw Darrelle Revis in there too.
  3. It is nothing short of amazing. These are some of the QB's who hale from within 50 miles of my house: Joe Montana Johnny Unitas Jim Kelly Dan Marino George Blanda Joe Namath Johnny Lujack Jeff Hostetler And that's just the QB's. Some other All-Pros from this area are Randy White, Mike Ditka, Tony Dorsett, Mark Stepnoski, Dick LeBeau, Curtis Martin, Jim Haslett, Ty Law, Bill Fralic, Sam Clancy, Jason Taylor, Fred Biletnikoff, Bay Lawrence, Brian Baldinger, etc
  4. I am in full agreement with this, whether the Bills are in it or not. And since that hype is non-existent and not bothersome, the worst part of Super Bowl week comes on Saturday night when you're ready to party with some friends with a football game as a great excuse to get together. But there is no game on Saturday night when it should be and instead it's played on Sunday night for no good reason whatsoever. When there are more parties during the Super Bowl than on any other night of the year, why in the Sam Hill would anybody think its sensible to hold it on Sunday night where everybody has to go to work in the morning, instead of Saturday night where you can stay out late and sleep in a little. Along with the whole college bowl game nonsense, it is one of the stupidest traditions in football.
  5. That's all well and good, but what if I only have 1 grenade?
  6. They live on planets with other non-humans? What are you talking about?
  7. Yes, because that is what marriage is all about, power and money.
  8. [This is an automated response] As a courtesy to the other board members, please use less deceptive subject lines. The topic starter can edit the subject line to make it more appropriate. Thank you.
  9. wth was that? They hit a hail mary at the half last week, and now they're going to pass up two shots at the endzone from the 20 to get a couple yards closer for a fg? And when the Niners strangely had 8 guys up on the LOS on both plays?!
  10. I'll eat that occasional flag for a skilled big man who's that into the game. I'm guessing you would too.
  11. I don't know what he was thinking either, he got caught standing in a puddle of glue. You'd think he might have watched last Sunday's game a couple times this week Wow, is Eli a mudder? couple good looking drives to answer the big Vernon play
  12. "Making a football move" is the midfield equivalent of completing the process of the catch in the endzone. If you haven't had broken a hand or bruised a footbone by now, I'm having a hard time thinking of a scenario that would hurt you. And look on the bright side, at least you didn't have to endure a game played under the new OT rule you hate. Imagine how pissed you be if NE completed 3 virtually mandatory 4th down conversion attempts during the second possession of overtime on the way to a "come from behind" OT win?
  13. They had the starting Free up on him, but Rolle's hip turn was brutally ugly
  14. The guy who threw that flag on the "celebration" is an over-officious jerk
  15. Is that call even reviewable? Hell, even 2 years ago that "might" be a score. And I just realized I now feel the same way about the NFC game. Maybe a cocktail will help.......
  16. You think they'd have reviewed it if that had been Wes Welker and NE was down 3 at home?
  17. I wonder exactly how many ways people can misquote that and blatantly twist the entire content of that thread. Probably about the same number of licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. Congrats on being licker #647......
  18. I honestly don't know. It was there and with a TO in pocket they would have had several shots at the endzone after the easy conversion. If Flacco wasn't a complete moron he'd have just walked over the LOS for it.
  19. Yeah, they jad one left which they could have used if freaking Flacco just converts the 3rd/1 with his feet and gives himself 2-3 free shots at the endzone.
  20. And Flacco, who spent most of the 4th qrtr looking like TJ Yates. His situational awareness is just unbelievably horrible
  21. Stevie's was a drop. That was just a strip, which he still should have secured.
  22. That false start was just a killer. Damn, and then Flacco stares at the rush and misses Rice open out of hte backfield in a mistmatch on 4th down. Double
  23. Oddly enough, the reason he's getting time is because they couldn't protect him in the first half. Now they've gone to a heavy dose of play action and sprintouts that are working great.
