I have no rooting interest other than to enjoy a good ballgame. That being said, nobody on this crew should ever be allowed to call a tournament game ever again. One of the most ruinous, incompetent officiating jobs I have ever seen on a basketball court.

The guy in the booth can make a call about 3x faster cuz he doesn't have to waste everybody's time (especially mine)walking over to talk to coaches, listen to players lobby, make announcements to the fans, walk to the camera and back, etc. This would be a long overdue change as I know the NFL is losing viewers because of the outright stupidity of the current system. Every single time somebody calls for a review I either change the channel or leave the room. If it's not a Bills game, I might find something else to do and not bother to come back to it for a long time, if it all. And I cannot be the only one who wants to watch football but won't waste time staring at people talking about officiating decisions. It's one of the things diminishing my enjoyment and interest in watching a ballgame and I imagine I'm not alone.

Carrington and Kelsay aren't going anywhere and Spencer Johnson probably can't draw a draft pick. But pro personnel and quality control guys around the league who watch a lot of film saw Dwan Edwards kicking many, many asses last year. If the Bills are patient, I wouldn't be surprised if they could get a 2nd day pick out of a very good starting 3-4 End.

I like that comparison. I can see Carrington logging a lot of snaps at End on early downs and also being used in the interior as a pass rusher in certain down/distance situations. Agreed that Kelsay takes way too much crap around here. But I still don't trust the man to keep contain as a 4/3 End.

There's not a whole lot left out there in the WR aisle, but Doucet is definitely one of the few I think the Bills ought to at least check the label on.

I assumed he'd start on the right side and then spend the game bouncing around. If he starts on the left side and then spends the game bouncing around, it doesn't change my thoughts on the matter.

With one of the DE positions secured (and how!-) I am seeing a lot of talk about how Kelsay and Merriman are going to fit into the remaining available slot. But I don't think I've seen so much as a mention of Carrington over the last few days. When he was allowed to play End last year, he outplayed both Kelsay and Merriman in both 3 and 4 man fronts and with an offseason to condition as a 4/3 DE, he's likely to be even better this year. Folks seem to be just assuming that Kelsay is going to man that LDE spot with Merriman doing spot duty as a situational pass rusher. But don't dismiss Carrington as the potential starter at DE; even at his age, he's a more well-rounded and complete player than either of the guys everybody else is talking about and I think he's going to give both Kelsay and Merriman everything they can handle when its time to decide who our starters are in August.

It doesn't, as this has been part of the plan for a long time. They won't reach for positions, but even with Williams on board, you can still look for a draft heavy on defense.
