  1. Wow, didn't think it would happen that quick. During that 10 minutes of football free buffoonery I turned it off and never even bothered turning it back on. It was like watching two frathouses play each other with a sorority calling the game.
  2. I say tomato, you say rettata?-) I don't put juice in them but for the last couple years I've been using a large dill spear instead of a celery stalk and it's a significant improvement imo.
  3. I haven't had nearly enough of Brad Smith. I hope he gets more touches going forward.
  4. I doubt they're a big deal to the players either, but to me as a viewer they are becoming annoying. I love the game of football but I have absolutely zero interest in watching guys standing around trying to figure out what they're supposed to be doing or shutting a game down for 3+ minutes to review multiple spurious calls. I'll deal with it in the short term as they are batting .500 right now ( 1 good week, 1 very bad week) and I'm not so spoiled I can't tolerate it; but I know myself well enough that if it continues in the vein that it did this week, there's no doubt in my mind that I'll be watching less ball because of it. I can't be the only one that feels that way and if the league recognizes that fact they'd be wise to be more willing to move a little in their ongoing negotiations with the experienced officials. So even though I clearly stated in my title that the refs were good in Week 1, I have little credibility because I moan about the refs every week? Since I've been posting here for well over 10 years, there's probably about 200 regular season games that have occurred in that time. Which according to you mean's that you should be able to find 200 posts of me moaning about officiating. Being that you are a poster with zero credibility who never manages to contribute anything to this forum but rude commentary and insults towards others, I certainly don't expect you to be willing to find the 200 examples of my moaning which you claim to exist. So instead I will make it much easier for you; how about if you go and find just one of the 200 examples of me moaning about officiating every week. If you can do so, then fine. If you cannot, then shut your ignorant mouth and keep your repetitive, insulting garbage out of my threads.
  5. He definitely calls up some headscratchers from time to time, but if Brad Smith properly executes that play on 1stdown at their 20, I think he was going for big yards.
  6. They didn't get screwed at all. That was absolutely a legit holding call on the Pats TE right at the point of attack.
  7. I said exactly the same thing early in the game thread. Our Tackles wereabsolutely mauling people today. If you see a replay of Spiller's long run over RG in the first half, watch Hairston block down and completely pancake the Mike. I jumped right off my couch on that one.
  8. They have been flat out horrible today. Confusion and delays in games all over the league, bizarre spots from guys who are out of position, phantom calls in nearly every game I've watched, etc The regular NFL refs have had a very good Sunday as I can see pressure starting to mount on the league tomorrow.
  9. remember they got called for a false start which kicked them back another 5 yrds before Brady took a knee then spiked it
  10. That was absolutely a hold right at the point of attack. Don't know what the announcers were jabbering about but it was clearly the correct call.
  11. taking two knees with :40+ left and opportunities available to give Gostkowski a much shorter attempt?
  12. nonsense; sometimes the bad guys make great plays too just gives AWilliams (whose actually played pretty well both weeks) a little something to work on
  13. theres a real good game going on in Philly if anybodys looking around for something since the Chiefs quit about halfway through Stevie Johnson's TD
  14. That's why I said holy schnikes That was freaking awesome....
  15. kelsay getting held and Cassell still has to ground it
  16. Im happier than a pig in sh1t, hell I'm even about to go make me a big assed cocktail but the Chiefs are still atrocious
  17. im not taking too much from this because the chiefs are just atrocious
  18. he landed hard after baldwin yanked his shoulder to prevent teh pick he was facedown motionless and that play clock never should have been started
  19. yup might be a good time to shut him down for the day
  20. they execute that properly and Brad Smith is still running
