Cole Bishop should start the final two games of the Regular Season....
Simon replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll see your 2 and raise it to 6. -
I think a lot of that perception comes from how ridiculous some of those occasional conversions are. Look at the one last week vs DET. They've got them locked up in 3rd/17 in their own end, about to get the ball back with a chance to put a 4th qrtr nail in the coffin. Suddenly you get a tipped ball that ends up going for a 60-70 yrd TD which puts the Lions right back in the game. Plays like that stand out and tend to skew reality, imo.

I actually thought Allen looked sick during the game, like he was trying to force himself to find energy when he it wasn't there naturally. He was also pale with dead eyes, which really made me wonder if the locker room got hit with something. And just for the record, it was not 20 degrees up there yesterday. It was single digits most of the game and by the 4th quarter the windchill was likely below zero. I was amused by the fact that nobody even really mentioned much about how cold it actually was. -
Can't argue wiht that; the guy was a total victim tonight. The only thing I know about him is that he has very unpleasant film room experience waiting for him at work this week.
-
He was a terror tonight; he embarrassed the RT all night long. That was the very best I have seen him moving since the injury.
-
I thought he threw some really good balls with people in his face, although the pressure did start getting to him later. His pocket presence is solid and if you ignore his feet, he can hurt you. My guess would be that he's probably going to be a problem in a couple years.

Taron as well possibly. I did not see him back on the field.
-
He was back in shortly after. I think he may have just needed a break from kicking Patriots' asses.
-
They called him for making contact with the receiver before the ball arrived. They never showed a good replay of it and I'm still not convinced the receiver wasn't jumping backwards due to his own momentum and Elam's tight coverage just made it look like he initiated contact.

Pretty cocky for a guy who is away from home in a storm with bad reception

I bet he's going to look better in the film room than he did on the TV camera

They went after him some early and had a little bit of success, not a lot. He really settled in as the game progressed and was holding up very well down the stretch, imo. -
There is no such penalty in the NFL. You can actually stick your hands in front of a guys eyes all you want to.

You're way more handsome than I expected for an old guy

That poor back who had to keep picking him up had to be getting sick of that pounding -

He was good under pressure, imo. Some of those blitzes did start to get into his head later in teh game though. -
Rousseau forced two turnovers and led the DL in tackles today
-
The reason he had to recover is because he has to play the sticks first, which means letting a guy get even with him at the line to gain. From that point it is now a race to the catch point and if he turns his head around he loses that race every time. He was still in that guy's shirt and it took what was literally a perfect throw to beat him by a couple inches on a down where his primary responsibility was 20 yrds behind him.
-
He's going to catch 100x more flak than he deserves for today. And he's probably going to be really pissed at himself for his performance. But I agree he was really not bad out there today. He got caught in a couple bad situations under the spotlight that are going to make his day look much worse than it actually was.
-
Somebody said they were running him on early downs and then switching him out for Williams on 3rds. Cannot confirm the rotation, but I have to wonder if they were giving him snaps because Williams is not really 100% healthy.
-
I think they just took him off the field because he simply cannot play in this league. Maybe they were running him on early downs to protect William's injury and they just had to give up on it.
-
He's on an island and is responsible for an entire third of the field all the way to the back of the endzone. It's also 3rd/5 and his primary responsibility is to attack the sticks first and then recover the best he can if they go over top of him. His recover was very good as was his coverage, Maye just dropped a ball on time in the only tiny window that was even remotely open. You cannot look for the ball on a dead sprint away from it; all you do if you turn is create separation and make an easier catch for the WR.
-
The guy is throwing unhinged fact-free rants all over the board.
-
Were they rotating them early to see how Williams' injury would affect him?
-
People are going to have at him for the first TD but the vast majority of them don't understand CB play. At all.
