No, I agree he's under-utilized. But the amount of moaning and wailing is way out of proportion to the reality, imo.
What kind of offensive mind does it take to create an historic 7.6 ypc runner?
I guess I was just pointing out that the guy is not some sort of panacea that cures everything.
There's dozens of people on this board repeatedly screeching about his touches, as if all we have to do is get him the ball and things will magically be great; but that's just not how it works.
If everybody isn't doing their jobs, you can give him the ball as much as you want but still end up with 4 touches for 0 yards.
Actually I was just trying to lighten the near suicidal mood in here.
The sprinklers came on during Jacksonville's 62-7 thrashing of miami back in the '99 playoffs
They came on again today during the phish game.
I thought maybe the memory of that game might put a small smile on somebody's face.
Read 'em and weep
Edit: Link doesn't work right (due to frames?) but it shows that we are dead last in the NFL on 3rd down, giving up a whopping 46% conversion rate.
And that was before today
Props to Dave Wannstedt for running the same set 11 times in a row.
His consistency is a shining beacon that you know will always be there when you're not sure what to do.
The only TD they've given up was on ST and the offense has left 17 points laying on the field.
They don't look good, but they're only down 1 score about to receive the kick so iit's not all bad either.
Unlike DaGimp's QB crusade, I like to talk about more than just one guy.
I've already clearly stated that both of those throws were poor, but it's also worth noting that Donald Jones is not now, and will likely never be a capable NFL receiver.
No resemblance whatsoever.
I think young Mr Griffin has more character, smarts and guts in one of his plaits than Newton is ever likely to have in his life.
I don't buy albums any more but I still buy quite a few songs.
This last batch had a bunch of stuff from Trombone Shorty, Code Talkers, New Mastersounds, Primus, Railroad Earth and Lettuce.
