He needs to be in Babich's ear, imo. He was OK early and OK late, but his defense was confused and hesitant most of the night because of its coordinator.

That first one right at the sticks on third down looked like a stunner and spooked me too.

I disagreed with it too, but only mathematically. He was managing the game really aggressively as early as the second qrtr and trying to find a way to create a spark for a team that badly needed it.

He got the dog snot knocked out of him in the first half attacking the LOS; he was teh only guy besides Oliver really bringing it. He's going to get some flack for losing a couple reps downfield but I thought he was arguably the second most effective defender on the field.

He took a beating in the first half attacking the LOS in all those tight formations. Aside from Oliver, he was the only guy out there actually attacking the ball. He lost a couple reps downfield but ended up leading the team in tackles and I thought he played like a grown ass man. I also think he's going to be in the tub with more bumps and bruises than anybody on either side of the ball.

Lamar was fantastic tonight. Last year was his best year as a pro by far, and to me it looks like he's continuing to get better. If he keeps that up, I will include him in the conversation with Allen and Mahomes.

It's not exceedingly hard to dominate a defense that is not properly prepared to play. And they weren't.

Both coordinators got their asses handed to them for most of the game, but I thought McDermott did a credible job of keeping them in it.

Most of the problems have been at the Ends, imo.

They cant force a single punt; who cares who's running routes. 🤷‍♂️

I dont think Ed or Daquan have been bad, but all three 'backers and both safeties are playing chickenspit football.

This defense is unsure enough of what it's seeing that the hesitancy in diagnosing Baltimores variety of mesh points has too many of them flat-footed in space. Benford and Oliver are about the only guys out there not dancing around; make your read and attack it (except you AJ, fer chrissakes...).
