Ummm, who's going to tell him? I'm guessing you haven't watched Pickens much? His success rate gathering in jump balls has to be out of this world.

Have at it, folks.

Derrick Harmon’s mother passes away after draft
Simon replied to KingBoots8's topic in The Stadium Wall
He was one of the few guys that I was interested in seeing the Bills trade up into the early 20's for. Should be a fine replacement for Cam Heyward soon. Good work and god bless, mama 🫶 -
Probably nothing, but Bills trade "proposal"

I wouldn't have any problem with the Bills throwing a 4th rounder at either him or Jameson Williams in a contract year. That's a fair price for a high end rental even if you have no intention of re-signing him. I doubt either team would actually do it, though.

Bills First Rnd pick in 2025 draft: Maxwell Hairston - CB - Kentucky

Good breakdown. I might have been slightly more generous; I think there were a couple that looked bad, but he was actually just setting up to turn a ballcarrier back inside. Overall I'd say when he gets to his spot early and breaks down he is a very reliable tackler, even showing an ability to get his hat on the ball at times. When he's a step late and on the move he has a tendency to flail a little when he has to tackle laterally which results in ineffective arm tackles. One thing I do like is his ability to wrap and roll; those hawk tackles are a key tool in a CB's arsenal. And it's either instinctual or he's coachable, which are both positive traits. -
Somebody posted some video of him working at the combine and his hips looked like they were running on ball bearings

Corner is never going to be a fun or sexy pick because it's such a defending position instead of an impact, attacking one. But I gotta say, the more I see, the more I like this. -
I told you not to tell anybody, #######.

Anybody that calls this a reach is being ridiculous, imo. And there is zero chance he was going to be around for another 20+ picks. -

We're almost in BPA territory here. I want another young DT with one of those 2nd round picks if a smart opportunity is there, but outside of that I think they could go almost any direction and come out ahead. -

There's certainly going to be a few facepalm moments as he adjusts to frighteningly efficient NFL offenses, but I've been ready to accept that for years now. Risks on defense are a little less risky when you have Josh Allen on the other side of the ball. -

Nate Clemens was also a guy like that early in his career before he lost that edge. One of the few guys that can directly affect a scoreboard if you're not careful with the ball near him. -

It still makes a huge difference but without quick, hard coverage to complement it the QB ends up with an easy out before the pressure has time to get home. DL is still the second most important unit imo, but offensive systems are so efficient now that DLs can't do it on thier own anymore and it's just not as cut and dried as it used to be. -
Yeah, you pretty much have it. It has something to do with the pick being known and listed on the league wire before the announcement, and people on social media taking advantage of that.

From a dirty needle, no less. He was probably taken off everybody's draft boards except for those stupid Bills. -

I think it's a league-wide trend that is really beginning to devalue the importance of a great DL. While a dominating DL wouldn't have made a difference in that game, a couple skilled, aggressive corners probably would have. After having spent my whole life knowing that DL was the second most important unit in football, it's a very difficult mental adjustment to make. -

Your insistence on repeatedly drawing equal comparisons between a single shoulder injury and a degenerative knee condition for no other purpose than to sustain a comically bad narrative tells all of us everything that we need to know about your clear agenda. -

His ability to keep his head up without sacrificing speed and athleticism is an extremely rare trait and enormously valuable in any coverage. -
There were two but I was lucky enough to catch them quickly and address the issue

If you do it, you're essentially using a very valuable pick on a guy that's in all likelihood not going to see the field or make any contributions this year, or possibly even in the future, depending on Taron Johnson's arc. imo, that's really irresponsible when they are going to have plenty of other good options at that spot. -

Since you're relying solely on others' opinions, you could have easily chosen to make an observation about his unreal athleticism. Instead you're just borrowing trouble because you didn't like the pick even though you know nothing about him. -

He missed 5 out of 37 games in his college career with a single upper body injury on his resume. When he was healthy last season, he led the SEC in interceptions. But yeah, he's an injury risk and can't locate the ball because you read that somewhere. -
