I pulled one off the shelf last night (Skinny Legs and All) because I hadn't read him in quite a while. My gawd, I had forgotten how brilliant and talented that man was. I can't think of any writer in the history of this country that has ever produced more creative and thoughtful prose. A genuine force of nature.

I only watch TV about twice a year so I am utterly unqualified to declare what is "good", but being stuck on the living room floor for a couple days with a newly spayed pup had me reaching for the remote and I ended up watching a show called American Primeval. Set in the mid 1800's in the Utah territory it's a dark and violent take on the three way conflict that took place between the natives, the Mormons and the US government. While it's vicious and depressing and makes you want to punch 100 people in the face, I still thought it was a pretty damned good watch.

#1 - There is zero chance Cooper DeJean can play CB in this league. Ze-ro. #2- Safeties are a dime a dozen in the modern NFL, WR's are not. That is the reason Coleman was taken before DeJean. #3- You have no idea whatsoever what we have in Cole Bishop yet. #4- If their situations were reversed and Dejean had suffered an injury during the Bills camp that set him back, you would currently be lamenting the fact that the Bills had taken him when they could have instead taken a WR and had Cole Bishop 20 picks later.

Both Kincaid and Coleman have been legitimate contributors; just not in the way that your unrealistic expectations wanted.

I don't watch the Jets enough to have a legitimate "Reed" on this. But the last time I saw him vs the Bills he was just gawdawful. Buffalo intentionally went after him and he was a complete pigeon out there.

It was only then that he finally realized the corner was coming and he had no escape route on that side and it was too late to do anything but heave a prayer to the zone the corner had vacated. By that point he'd run out of time and space and couldn't set up to get the ball where it should have gone.

They didn't have any trouble scoring fast at the end of the first half when they went 75 yrds for a TD in 1:30. Or at the end of the first half of the Ravens game when they went 70 yrds for a TD in under 3:30. And they didn't need to score fast vs the Chiefs. There were 3:30 minutes left, the 2 minute warning and they had three TO's in their pocket. If anything they were likely going to have to burn some clock at the other end. Yet they somehow completely ignored the best weapon on their offense because they felt panicky and rushed. This is more of a coaching issue than any perceived lack of downfield threat, imo.
