Terrel Bernard in question for the start of the Playoffs ???
Simon replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
That joke is even younger than Tremaine! Galdangit, that's the second time today one of you SOB's has beat me by 10 seconds -
I think halftime was about 9 minutes into the first quarter

Somebody check on @YoloinOhio and make sure he's not dancing on the roof drunk....

Drake Maye is going to play along with the rest of their starters and Mayo "sounds" like he's playing to win. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/43249657/drake-maye-start-patriots-season-finale-vs-bills

Yeah, we should resign Tremaine Edmunds as soon as we can. That's the kind of guy you can rely on. Beat me by 30 seconds -
Does anyone have an induction range? What's your experience?

From what I've read, it uses an electromagnetic field so your cookware has to have iron/steel in it. You can actually test it's compatibility with a magnet. Aluminum, copper, glass, etc won't heat on it. -
I'd guess it's a combination of them wanting better blockers on the field and them playing coy with him until the playoffs start.

That punch has become absolutely devastating. It's like seeing Larry Holmes in pads.

Is it scary? I don't want to watch it if it's scary.....

Heck, I think they're getting too cutesy for the situation. Coach needs to get the hell out the way and let his OLine grind these guys up. If he does, they'll be ripping off huge runs in teh 4th qrtr. Exactly. After the first series I said to my Dad they'll be just fine if they don't start outsmarting themselves. I bet he's really pissed at me right now.

Agreed that Boise St is clearly overmatched. Franklin needs to chew out Kotelnicki the whole way to the locker room and tell him to quit monkeying around and outsmarting himself. He's coaching like an OC trying to fill out job apps for a HC position instead of a guy with better players on his sideline.

Yes they are; gotta respect their response. This could have got away from them early. Penn State committing seppuku with penalties
-
This game might be over already. Boise St cannot handle these guys. At all.

During the game I called it half-Cam Here is a list of NFL LB's that can hang with Davante Adams on a horizontal route:

So, how is everyone feeling about this defense going into the playoffs?
Simon replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was actually 4 for a while when Taron went out for a big chunk of one game. That also made missing one of their two starting LB's a much bigger problem than it normally would have been, imo. This unit isn't going to dominate people because that's not how it's built or called, but I think they're way less of a problem than people have been assuming since the Rams game. -
He did get his head around the second he came open but a free rusher had already forced Allen to pull the ball down at that point.

They were not bad vs the Lions. This is part of this narrative that has taken on a life of its own but it's not accurate. That game was 35-14 near the end of the 3rd qrtr and the Bills were holding down the best offense in the NFL. Up to that point Detroit was averaging about 5 1/2 plays per possession and the Bills were smothering them. Then they lucked into a 3rd/17 tipped ball conversion that became a fluky 70yrd TD and after that the Bills called off the dogs and started trading yards for clock with a big lead in the 4thqrtr. The Bills defense absolutely got the better of the NFL's highest scoring offense during the competitive portion of that game and anybody who says differently wasn't paying attention. That let down game on the West coast in LA the week after they clinched the division on a Sunday night was the only bad game this defense has played since October. -

Their ground game could be an issue if we're playing from behind all day. I don't put too much stock in the earlier matchup though; they spent all game specifically attacking Dorian Williams, Cam Lewis and Baylon Spector (and Hamlin at times). This will be a very different looking defense if we run into them again. -

I can't remember the last time the defense "seemed" this healthy going into the playoffs. Hamlin is the only real trouble spot, imo and McDermott has shown the ability to hide one pigeon, if not four. I'd rather see them taking chances than playing on their heels; it's time to go all in and play to win instead of playing to not get beat. -
I suppose it's a matter of perspective, but I have certainly enjoyed it

I think he spent the majority of the season tiptoeing around so that he would be healthy when the playoffs rolled around (as did Oliver, imo). fwiw, I thought he's looked much more active and effective over the last month. This is likely to draw some laughs, but I expect a good postseason from him. -
The best comparison I've been able to come up with is totally Buffalo-centric but accurate from my perspective. He reminds of Hasek because every freaking time I turn on the TV I end up doing double-takes to make sure that I actually saw what I thought I just saw.
