I highly doubt that. I think it was more of a case of McDermott being intimately aware of the areas that Carolina felt they needed to address.

The only problem with that is that you then introduce a subjective factor into what is an objective article. Although maybe he could have used ProBowl nominations or selections as a semi-objective criterion?

Is the first line of your signature not "I not only could not stifle controversy among your readers.. I welcome it."? And anybody who compares an internet message board to the Trail of Tears may also want to reconsider their own grip.
