fwiw, yesterday was the exact game I was thinking of down the road when I said the 49ers became a more dangerous team when Purdy stepped on the field. Under that heavy Cowboys pass rush, Garoppolo would have gone wide-eyed, fallen apart like a Robert Hall suit and started throwing up prayers to save his own ass. Purdy just kept staying focused with his eyes downfield, protecting the ball, putting it where it needed to go, converting some key 3rd downs and calmly making his way to the NFC Championship game. He's not going to blow anybody away with 40 yrd lasers and superman plays, but he'll almost always be in control of his offense no matter what's going on around him.

Had to look that one up. Thanks for the new word ; - )

I’m over this defensive scheme. Bring in a new DC.

Just Another Guy i.e. a marginally average player -
He missed him because he had a DT draped on him when Saffold was too emotionally exhausted to block anybody. Again.

I don't believe anything I see on Twitter but I 100% believe this.

They wanted him there because they were going to lateral the ball to him after the catch with the actual OLinemen then converging from the edges
-
I don't think it was lazy, I think he was just trying to get a foot OB as quick as he could; his timing with the catch was just a hair off.

Smart work from Shanahan; wish more coaches would recognize automatic stoppages and take advantage of them like that
-
He's had 7 accepted holding penalties

Why do you keep repeatedly posting threads in the Off the Wall non-football section that I have to keep relocating?

There are 20+ threads to B word about the Bills; this is the only one where it doesn't belong

The 13 second debacle last year may have stung him as much as anybody on the team. Now the season long growing pains of a rookie OC put him over the top today. The Bills aren't throwing out the only reliable skill player they have because he's rightfully upset.

What Would You Rather Do: Cris Collinsworth Edition
Simon replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd rather have a sinus infection so severe that it plugs my ears so that I can't hear. Oh wait, I do. Not being able to hear Collinsworth yesterday was so wonderful that I intentionally did not take any Sudafed during the game.
