Hurdling on the field goal attempt.
Simon replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For it to be illegal, he' got to be running forward when he jumps over the line. If he just jumps over from a standstill, it's not a penalty. -

I honestly have no idea what he said or whether he got fined. That stuff holds zero interest for me. -
That's a lackin' in alliteration

Pretty classy way to talk at a guy just because he disagrees with you about a football penalty Cowboy up and quit being one of them; it's beneath you. -

I wouldn't have called that one either. And Josh sure as hell shouldn't be trying to call it while the play is still live. I only saw two they missed, But they also called one on him I thought was a weak call. -

I'm not convinced that he was running forward. If he was just lined up there and jumped from a relative standstill, it's not a penalty -
An observation on Josh Allen's three picks
Simon replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just thought he was late with the throw. That little hop back he took cost him the quarter second that would have put the ball in that same spot earlier enough that Zay can run into it. Even if he does catch it, you know he's going straight to the ground -

A lot of it seemed to be the result of miscommunication as opposed to guys just getting whipped. I wonder if all the jacking around they've done with the Oline has contributed to some of these issues. Hope all's well, man.... Yeah, he definitely got et by the bahr yesterday -
My new nickname for Zay is "cheesecloth" cuz that sumbitch got no grit.....

If you do have the stomach for a rewatch, consider that it wasn't just the breakdowns in protection. The biggest problem I had with them was the absurd amount of penalties they were taking, often at the worst times possible. Adding up the accepted, declined or offsetting calls, that single unit may well have drawn 10 flags all by themselves, most of them absolute drive killers or that led indirectly to Allen trying to push the ball down the field when they were behind schedule on down/distance. Not absolving Josh of his foolishness but between the OLine and Zay, that young QB spent much of his day working uphill. -
That's what's going to happen when it costs $200 just to walk in the door

He's going to get one before the year is out. Today was already the second one he just missed.

An observation on Josh Allen's three picks

I'm not trying to absolve Allen; all three throws were terrible decisions. But two of the three would have been nothing worse than an incompletion on 1st down if Zay shows any willingness to attack the ball. -
Josh is horrible on long throws all 4 games

I do remember chuckling when he said that.... -

I've reached the point where I just no longer see any reason whatsoever for him to be on the field with the offense. I know the WR corps is weak but at least give somebody a shot who "feels" like an NFL WR. I wonder if Zay can block a gunner on return teams, cuz nobody else is doing it. It would be nice ot see Andre Roberts have even a little room to work -

Yeah, they were behind schedule again because of yet another dipstick penalty on the OLine -

Yeah, I remember saying uh-oh as soon as he let the one pick go while he was floating backwards. I understand the OLine was atrocious and he had guys around his feet all day, but he needs to recognize that all his accuracy issues occur when he's not throwing from a solid platform. -

He never even left his feet. He just turned around and watched the DB attack the ball. Good call on his tendency to roll toward what he can see -

Actually I didn't say anything remotely resembling that and I have stated on more than one occasion that I think he is going to be a good NFL QB. So feel free to **** off and go pollute somebody else's thread.- 78 replies

I know exactly which play you're talking about. It looked like Reggie White's old hump move.

I'm not 100% sure but I think all three of them came on first down, which makes them even worse. Somebody correct me if I'm having a senior moment...... Also worth noting that two of them were thrown at Zay Jones who didn't manage to compete for either of them. If you're looking for a way to get your QB to stop looking your way, standing around watching defenders attack balls that you should be attacking is an excellent strategy.

There was also a series earlier where the offensive line took back-to-back penalties, cost the Bills about 30yrds of field position, put their down/distance behind schedule and led indirectly to Allen's first pick. That unit killed multiple Bills drives and was absolutely gawdawful today.

This is one of the best coached defenses I have ever seen in Buffalo. They're not exactly overpopulated with world-class athletes but Leslie Frazier has an answer for everything they see before they even see it. It's a shame the offense is such a self-defeating clustermuck. that's going to wear on the Defense as the season progresses.

Outside of the drive that ended in the Brady pick, the NE offense only has about 50yrds of total offense -

They didn't want to leave too much time on the clock for Brady
