  1. I saw what he did to the safety on the run (muahahahaha), just wasn't sure if the IOL had left teh LOS for him.
  2. Hope that ends up being the case; the place was loaded with a bunch of cool Rolling Stones memorabilia. It's also the first bar that my new puppy ever got thrown out of.
  3. Spencer Rattler had a grand total of 6 completions for 50 yards to his entire WR corps.
  4. I thought it was their worst game of the year; although that doesn't necessarily mean they were "bad".
  5. Shouldn't this be in the Tyreek thread?
  6. You just have to roll 'em thinner now so you don't fall on your face.
  7. I didn't give him grief for that one; that was more on Torrence, imo. That's the second week in a row he's gotten beat on that outside/in move that he struggled so badly with as a rookie. I really thought he had solved that issue last year.
  8. Yeah, OK. Anybody wanna buy a bridge?
  9. That's what I was thinking, even though I didn't actually see him heading off (quit watching when I saw his leg sideways thinking it was going to be a long break). Did they have time or cover to jack any needles into him on the sideline? Maybe he was just flying high 🤷‍♂️
  10. He's going to get fat bonus points for trying to murder guys to the whistle when he was blocking in line, but I still think he really struggled in passpro.
  11. Was that a designed call or did he just recognize an opportunity and take it? I never saw a replay and was watching the secondary instead of C/G at the snap.
  12. Can't we just be the Road Warriors?
  13. Probably a fat guy
  14. He does have a point. But you can't really see it if he wears a hat.
  15. I'm doubtful just because I think it would have reared its head more last year. My hope is that it's just a combination of them a) willingly trying a bunch of new and different things (which they have been at times) and b) integrating a bunch of younger or newer players into the system. That could legitimately be the primary issue and it will clean itself up over time, but every time I make that argument in my head I just feel like I'm whistling past the graveyard.
  16. I totally get this but the problem with it is that if you wait until all the pieces are in place and then a few more weeks to give them time to see what you have, all the sudden you're eating leftover turkey in December and now you have a bigger risk of not having time to rebuild everything with new coaching before you enter the most important part of the season. It's one of them there conundrums....
  17. Frazier had his warts but I don't every recall there being these kind of widespread issues with preparation and recognition. His defenses may not have always done what we wanted them to do, but at the bare minimum they did seem to know what they were doing. OC's may have taken advantage of their passivity at times but there was never the kind of constant confusion we've been seeing out there since the minute the season started.
  18. This time seems different with all the presnap confusion and out of position players and opposing offenses recognizing the problems and taking advantage of them. We might not love how he approaches defense philosophically, but that disorganization is not something that has typically been a problem in his tenure.
  19. I'm usually on board with you in this sort of debate, but I think this is absolutely a valid discussion at this point. At no point in McD's tenure have we ever seen a defense this unprepared, disorganized and confused. Teams are taking advantage of that on a regular basis and there is a point where it has to be addressed one way or another. It's early enough in the season where you could make a change at DC and still have enough time to get your ducks in a row before the stretch run. There's also the option of having Sean just take over, but that creates it's own set of problems when your HC is distracted from game management on Sundays. At the least, I would hope that McD takes a far more proactive role during the week to see if he can address the significant problems with preparation and attention to detail while leaving Babich to call the game on Sunday. Then if the same problems with incoherence continue, you maybe consider making a more significant change.
  20. So maybe you should reconsider your decision to "contribute" to this thread? 🤷‍♂️
  21. He just looks like the same guy to me. Slow to read/react which makes him a step late and allows blockers to get on top of him. Can't cover anybody so he's a liability in anything but short yardage packages. Poor instincts/decision making on gaps, angles, passrush, etc. By any measure I can think of, Shaq Thompson is a better option out there, imo.
  22. I'm not tuned in enough to the rest of the league to have a valid opinion on a replacement, but your points are 100% valid. At the very least I would consider leaving Babich in charge of calling the D on Sundays so McDermott can focus on managing the game, but during the week have McDermott take on a much larger role in regards to preparation in hopes of eliminating much of the confusion we're regularly seeing out there.
  23. A "couple weeks" for Roquan. Marlon Humphrey went down in that game too and is also out for a couple weeks. At this point, they're just Kyle Hamilton and a bunch of guys.
