  1. Yeah, it's just one of those things that we're never really going to know until next year when he steps on a field with some of the world's most frightening lunatics. He seems like a good kid who works hard and does things the right way so that will certainly help, but when it's time to get your growl on, for some guys it just isn't there. And thanks for the clip; always enjoy watching the Buckeyes hang another one on Michigan.
  2. At the time I did when we thought it was a rib injury. But I've dealt with hip pointers on the field and after the intensity of the initial pain, it's really not a big deal, especially for a guy playing a primarily non-contact position. Playing through it doesn't qualify as incredible toughness, imo. I've just noticed some instances of him shying away from contact, seeing ghosts, stepping OB when he doesn't need to, etc. Just enough to make me question whether or not he has true grit.
  3. Whew, these boys out here can FARM.......
  4. I logged over 8,000 road miles in the truck this summer. Worst thing that happened is I ended up camped in a place where I was 14 miles from bags of ice.
  5. Nice! I bet that was a hard place to leave.
  6. Yeah, I called Hap a dick once and let me tell you, that was a mistake.........
  7. Yeah, Saturday morning faceplants followed by Saturday night beers and Bills sounds like a winner. Don't give up on this winter; there's still time to lacerate a spleen.
  8. You know that's what I'm talking about, my friend! Don't worry about it.....
  9. If you keep your political foolishness out of it you can call me whatever you want; I don't give a *#@&. But take it to PM so as not to derail the thread. Wawrow earned his props and I don't want to interfere any further.
  10. We don't differ much at all. I hate people crowds, haven't been in a bar in about a year and watch every Bills game with just my dog. But I've been getting an itch to have beer spilled all over me and jump up onto tables in the midst of screaming red and blue mayhem.
  11. I'm not a season ticket holder and live just far enough away that I don't know a single Bills fan. My buddy has a house in E-ville that I can use so it seemed like the best plan to get myself into a pack of rabid, beer-swilling, zubaz-loving lunatics.
  12. Thanks for straightening us out again, Eeyore.
  13. Wondering if the bars are open in town, particularly the porch upstairs at Madigan's. I've got an overwhelming compulsion to be with my peeps on Saturday night and am considering a roadtrip.
  14. The other factor that I think needs to be taken into account is how many plays you're running. The Bills only had like 8 possessions and as a result only ran 50-something plays; meanwhile the defense's inability to get the Colts off the field resulted in the Colts offense running 70-something plays. When your opponent gets the opportunity to run 20+ more plays than you do, you're putting yourself at a distinct disadvantage, imo.
  15. My sense during the game was that the Colts were attacking personell as much as they were attacking spots on the field. This could easily be a six of one, half dozen of the other issue, though.
  16. I think you should care because every second they have it, Josh Allen does not. That affects the entire game, not just the BillsD vs ColtsO matchup.
  17. I don't watch enough football anymore to answer that with any degree of knowledge; but there's a pair of warriors in the middle of this Bama defense that would like very handsome in a Bills uni. That kid wearing the 58 is something else, but he ain't falling to us. Anybody that can make an occasional play and draw some of the constant doubles and combos off Oliver would be an instant upgrade.
  18. If he can't give us anything better than he gave us on Saturday, he needs to be watching from the sideline. I really like him and think he's an absolute baller, but he was a complete waste of a resource at the Z last week. In the regular season you can let a guy shake off the rust, work back into game shape, nurse along an injury or whatever. But now it's elimination time and there's no room for passengers. If you can't bring it on Saturday, it's time to get out of the way and make room for somebody who can.
  19. I think he's good every week (or has been since he recovered from that early season knee injury). The problem is he can't control 4 gaps by himself.
  20. That's what I saw too. Although somebody told me in the game thread I was wrong. I think I saw something where Rivers ended up averaging just under 2.5sec getting the ball out in that game. Nobody is beating that Oline in 2 seconds.
  21. We already have one in Oliver; unfortunately he's being supported by four guys who are fringe NFL players at what is arguably the most important position on the defense. I had some hope for Butler but he's maddeningly inconsistent; Jefferson, Phillips and Zimmer are just getting buried out there. I think rebuilding the DT rotation should be the Bills #1 priority this offseason and I would prefer they do it with veterans because NFL windows can be very limited and I want to see them take a run at a championship next year.
  22. They were absolutely horrible and will be the reason the Bills season ends at some point
  23. There's a whole quarter left. Punting from your own side of the 50 is not a bad play here
