    I'm OK with that in the 1st qrtr. But on 3rd/long with a few minutes left in an undecided game? How the hell does somebody that dumb get through breakfast?

    The problem wasn't so much the shove, it was the hook he threw while Gore was down. That's a no-no.

    I once actually tried to tackle a teammate in a similar situation but I couldn't quite run him down and he scored to give us an 8pt lead with over a minute left.

    How big of a moron do you have to be to use the crown of your helmet on a QB on a key 3rd down late in a game?

    I don't think it was.

    That works when you can run defenders off with route combinations, but when the defense can keep all 11 guys within 5 yrds of the LOS, it becomes a real problem.

    I don't think you have anything in your playbook that is going to get you 7-8 yards in that compressed zone.
