  1. He was one of my childhood heroes. That was heartbreaking to watch.
  2. That was an overwhelming defense with an outstanding veteran offensive line on the other side of the ball. Even I could have coached that group to .500 piss drunk in a lawn chair, and I'm dumber than a chicken.
  3. Squid: In the Navy, they taught us to wash our hands after we pee. Jar Head: In the Marines, they taught us not to piss on our hands.
  4. Has anybody happened to see what Mahomes average time to throw was in that game, or how that might have compared to how fast he was getting the ball out during the regular season? I know the DE's (aside from Rousseau) were not good that day, but I get the sense that the Bills corners and LBs couldn't have covered a corpse with a circus tent and that was the primary issue.
  5. I was referring to Michigan. And I don't put a lot of stock in his time at Stanford. He was 29-21. In the Pac-10. Not exactly setting the world on fire. I already mentioned that I think he rode superior talent and good coaches at SF until they fired him at the first opportunity. They were absolutely loaded and being driven into the ground by Mike Singletary, Who was 8-8 the season before he got fired and who is sooooo bad that not only is he no longer welcome in the NFL, he was last seen coaching a HS team to a 1-21 record in his last two years.
  6. I think he's like Nick Sirianni's even dumber older brother.
  7. In alphabetical order: 1- Josh Allen 1- Patrick Mahomes 2 - Everybody else
  8. "Led them" to a Super Bowl is inaccurate, imo. That was one of the most talent-loaded teams in the last decade and the majority of their success was a result of the work of Greg Roman and Vic Fangio. The instant that talent began to thin out and Harbaugh could only get them to 8-8, they got him out of their organization as fast as they possibly could. I think it's only a matter of time before this blows up in the Chargers' face.
  9. I think there's a big difference between coaching a bunch of kids who are bigger, faster and stronger than everybody they play against vs. coaching a bunch of grown-assed millionaires in a parity driven league. My expectation is a lot of turnover that will somewhat hamper the Chargers early, a year or two of contention with a really good roster and then the inevitable flameout when the players and a big chunk of the organization become sick of his idiocy.
  10. welcome home, homie
  11. Just creating this so that, going forward I can put all the repetitive Belichik threads in one place instead of folks having to see them all over the board.
  12. Between Shakir and KJ Hamler, we're probably set in the slot.
  13. The solution is Brandon Jones(that guy in the #29 you saw all over the field in the regular season finale), because it doesn't break the bank and also screws the Dolphins.
  14. There are still hicks north of the Mason/Dixon. Y'all should recognize.....
  15. I think that resilience probably is healthy, as long as it's not taken to the extremes of an obsessive disorder. The fact that we're even here probably points up that we are indeed obsessed to some degree; I just appreciate the fact that for the most part, this group manages that obsession with wisdom, humor and self-awareness. That's not a common thing when it comes to large groups of humans and I respect the hell out of it when I see it. Stay golden, PB. 🤙 I also appreciate the fact that two people in one thread posting simultaneously can spell yeoman properly.
  16. I don't know; I've never seen a woman capable of speech afterwards. 🤷‍♂️
  17. I missed two plays during the game cuz I was down in the garage puffing on a cigar. >The fake punt, where I came back in and could not figure out how they had the ball on our 30. >The missed FG, which I only knew he missed because I heard my wife yell at the TV.
  18. He's over here:
  19. That'll leave a mark....
  20. I'm too galdanged old to drink like that anymore
  21. I kicked Scott Law out an airlock
  22. I don't give a ***** what you think and I'm 10 seconds from removing your troll ass from here permanently for annoying my people. I've been genuinely contemplating picking somebody to completely eviscerate and then giving myself a week long suspension for it. Welcome to the list.
  23. As the de facto janitor, I was really not looking forward to breaking out the mop after having the season end in such a brutal fashion. Wading through the trolling, insults and crusading and trying to moderate it all was the last thing on this planet I wanted to deal with after that game. But as I have been reading around the board, I'm totally blown away to see the class and character with which 95% of this community has reacted to having their hearts ripped out again. Much respect to this community and the strength and dignity which runs through it. Y'all have built something really nice here and as sad as I am about the Bills, I'm just as happy with what you've created for yourselves. And maybe at the end of the day, that's what's more important.
  24. They answer to their brothers. Everybody else can get stuffed.
