  1. He just looks like the same guy to me. Slow to read/react which makes him a step late and allows blockers to get on top of him. Can't cover anybody so he's a liability in anything but short yardage packages. Poor instincts/decision making on gaps, angles, passrush, etc. By any measure I can think of, Shaq Thompson is a better option out there, imo.
  2. I'm not tuned in enough to the rest of the league to have a valid opinion on a replacement, but your points are 100% valid. At the very least I would consider leaving Babich in charge of calling the D on Sundays so McDermott can focus on managing the game, but during the week have McDermott take on a much larger role in regards to preparation in hopes of eliminating much of the confusion we're regularly seeing out there.
  3. A "couple weeks" for Roquan. Marlon Humphrey went down in that game too and is also out for a couple weeks. At this point, they're just Kyle Hamilton and a bunch of guys.
  4. Thought you might appreciate the best comment I have seen yet:
  5. Calais Campbell Trent Williams Cam Heyward Honorable mention: Cameron Jordan Everybody else can get in line.
  6. No change. This is going to take a while and may not even happen in NY. He's got a gawdawful roster working for a gawdawful franchise and there's not a coach on the planet that could make hay with that mess. My take on Glenn was more related to the kind of guy he is, than the kind of situation he's in.
  7. If there's an OT period, can we can get it back to the 70's?
  8. He gets made fun of a lot, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he finally calms down enough to be a legit NFL QB.
  9. He'll end up playing Iron Man football with a 15 man roster.
  10. I didn't see his reaction, but I'm guessing he was either in shock or they jacked a needle into him under cover.
  11. I think we will in two weeks when Hoecht comes back
  12. I think that hip dislocation/fracture he suffered at Alabama is something that will affect his game for the rest of his life
  13. This dude is a purveyor of human misery and I have zero sympathy for anything that happens to him on a football field. Maybe I'm a jerk (zip it you bastards) but his karma is long overdue.
  14. I don't think so; it's been an issue (or issues) with him for two years and hasn't gotten any better to my eyes. The point about not pushing Thompson this early in the season is a good one. The limited work he's getting on some first and third downs right now might be the staff's effort to work him in slowly to make sure he's both ready and healthy for Dec/Jan.
  15. Every bit of this is 100% true and I cannot even remember I saw these guys so unprepared and out of synch. McD has got to be seeing the same thing and I have ot wonder how long he can tolerate it before he makes a move. I've definitely noticed a tendency for them to break down too early. That leads to guys lunging and when you do that you have no base and no power to work with. I'm guessing the union would have a fit if McD circled them up, put a bunch of Gazoo helmets on them and spent an hour every day having them run the tackling version of Oklahomas.
  16. His leg/foot was turned sideways about 90 degrees That looked like the kind of thing that affects careers as much as seasons.
