We've seen dozens of guys in the NFL that could do what Emmitt Smith did in that situation. He's the most overrated RB in the history of the game.

I don't know anything about rankings but he's really smart, really tough, really clutch and may have the best contact balance I've ever seen in my life. His field vision and reliability make him a primary option on one of the very best offenses in the NFL and any team in the league would be thrilled to have him.

Considering the complexity of modern NFL offenses, I'd be inclined to think Billl's description was their primary reason for not doing it. I'm not sure how injury-prone the PR position is in the current version of the NFL; I'd guess it's a relatively safe duty. Geez, how much does it cost to park a 10 speed up there?
