  1. Too unpredictable. A mortar is more controllable and at worst would have forced a fair catch at the 10. A bad bounce on a squib is an uncontrollable variable.
  2. Curious where that's from? I heard something similar but don't recall the source. The real problem with that aspect is that they were both wrong and I'm surprised we don't hear more about it. They'd run a mortar successfully multiple times throughout the year, it was 100% the proper call in that situation and it sounds like nobody even discussed it.
  3. He's got contain there and under no circumstances can he let the ballcarrier outside of him. He has to approach at that angle and turn him inside before he does anything else. I thought Williams and Hamlin were the primary culprits on that run if I remember right.
  4. It is, but I'm wondering about footing. I would not like trying to check Cooper or Shakir on an icy field.
  5. Nonsense. If he really cared about winning, he'd be at the field with a shovel right now!
  6. “If I'm being completely honest, I don't spend any time thinking about the interviews, and when I go in the interviews, I'm literally just myself,” Brady said. “There's no getting ready or preparing, it's not fair to all my guys if I'm spending time in this organization, in the city, if I'm spending time taken away from game planning. "So if I'm doing an interview, it's the same time I would normally be home eating dinner with my wife or spending time with my son and so they're the ones that would the schedule would change. But there's no preparation for it, I'm just out there answering questions and just being me and going from there.”
  7. Stupid question: Is a temp of 15 degrees with a wind chill around 8ish enough to freeze the surface of that field and make it slick?
  8. You keep saying ridiculous things that are objectively wrong in some sad effort to belittle the guy. It's either hatred or stupidity and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt.
  9. No. It means he forced the QB either off his drop spot or pressured him to rush a decision and throw. Which he has been doing quite often over the last month+. And which you would be capable of recognizing if you weren't blinded by your own mindless hatred.
  10. I wouldn't trust that damnable dome either!
  11. They're not likely to get more than 6". But it could very well be heavy right in the middle of the game.
  12. fwiw, there's shaping up to be a very good chance that the LA/Phi matchup being played right before us on Sunday, could turn out to be a verrry entertaining snow game with legit accumulation and inch/hour rates in the afternoon. 🤞
  13. They've been knocking down tomato cans since Thanksgiving. They're good, but they ain't that good.
  14. Nerd fight! (says the nerd...)
  15. Probably not. Maybe some flurries later in the game but nothing notable as it looks like the lake effect machine won't crank up til the following day when the winds increase and become more Westerly.
  16. You are correct, my bad. I'll clean it up.
  17. Holy *****, it's you isn't it?
  18. I've been happy to see a few players wearing them in the playoffs. Not many, but you have to start somewhere.
  19. That was actually him?! Galdangit, I thought it was a construct. I'll never figure this stuff out... You know, there's a short book ready to be written here: A Bills fan sells his soul to the Devil in exchange for unlimited wealth and extended life until the Bills win a Super Bowl. He then spends that life and that money finding ways to sabotage the Bills to keep them from winning. The big reveal at the end is that the book isn't current, it was actually written back in 1970.
  20. Don't worry too much; we'll be dead soon.
  21. I agree but in this case I'm not too bothered. Nobody is stupid enough to give this guy enough money to earn them a decent pick. Are they? Holy schnikes; I had no idea he'd bilked the league out of that much. No wonder he's giving no ****s.

  23. I've got to wonder how much money the guy has made. If it's not much, he's a candidate for living in a refrigerator box 5 years from now. I think they did it for the potential compensatory pick when (if?) he signs somewhere else in FA.
  24. There are far fewer things in the world that are about you than you think there are.
  25. I typically don't love shootouts but that was absolutely one of the greatest, most ass-clenching football games I've ever seen in my life.
