  1. He's been the only LB worth two nickels on this team the entire year. None of Bernard, Milano or certainly Williams would likely not have even gotten a hand on that ball. There's only one way. Work harder.
  2. No, McDermott is comparable to McDermott. He wants his defense how he wants his defense, and his Ends are going to play run first and contain rush second.
  3. Hairston got hurt; you have no idea if he was the wrong pick yet. Bunkum. I'm stepping out of this utterly pointless thread
  4. Maybe vent in an existing thread instead of compelling people to click on a new redundant one that adds little value?
  5. I love hindsight threads; they're the best.
  6. He was out there with the D for a few plays also.
  7. He'd have teh same anchor chain on Garret that he has on Rousseau. He wants his defense to contain everything and keep the play in front of him. He has absolutely minimized certain players by not cutting them loose.
  8. It's not. But Cooke is definitely frustrated with his usage, and should be.
  9. See you next year for a few weeks.
  10. Season's over in Week 6. Go cut the grass.
  11. He benches him every week.
  12. He was a terror out there tonight.
  13. What are you still doing here? The season is over.
  14. They're good enough to play with anybody when they have all hands on deck. But when you're looking on the field seeing Joe Andreessen, Cam Lewis and Jordan Poyer all out there at the same time, that's just too many depth guys out there to survive with. They are really good on both sides of the LoS so there's hope, but they need Palmer and Kincaid on offense and about 3-4 guys to get back on the field on D.
  15. They're not terrible if they're healthy but if Palmer and Samuel are going to miss time they will need to make a move. Even when they come back I wouldn't be shocked to see them toss a draft pick to bring in a more reliable pass-catching threat, like Cooper.
  16. Don't let the door hit ya' where the good lord split ya'.
  17. I probably wouldn't have chosen "funny" but you're not wrong
  18. The corners are not the primary problem here. They haven't been "great" but they're not getting abused repeatedly. There is a MASSIVE hole in the middle of the field where we should have 2-3 LBs. THAT is causing mroe problems for this defense than anything else and it's not even close, imo.
  19. He's so bad I'm ready to see them give Jordan Hancock a huge pile of reps coming out of the break to see if he's ready. I think he's smarter than folks both inside and outside the team are giving him credit for.
  20. Regarding the defense: They have got nothing from their top 3 LB's and Shaq Thompson should not leave the field at any down or distance in teh immediate future. Taylor Rapp should have been removed from teh starting unit weeks ago. The DL is is OK and will probably be an asset when they get Jones, Sanders and Hoecht back. Their corners are not great but they're not awful and are far down the list of problems. Regarding the offense: Joe Brady continues to outthink himself at multiple turns and I like his work less and less every week. The OL recovered well in the second half but have ben playing well below their potential for weeks now. Josh Allen is not a problem, but right now he is not the solution either. Their usage of Cook is a borderline fireable offense. Elijah Moore is a black hole and doesn't need to dress outside of injury. If Palmer is out long term they need to pony up and make a move at WR.
  21. That was an entirely different OLine than that shltshow we saw in the first half.
  22. From my couch, it was really the only thing they blew all night. I think called penalties ended being 4-2 maybe? The angst is overwrought.
  23. I'm not on board with the bulk of the officiating angst, but this is still outstanding
