I was thinking that if you took a seesaw and set Isiah McKenzie on one end and the amount of tape on Ed Oliver on the other end, that Lil Dirty would probably still be calling for his momma to come and help him down.
Yeah, when you can't do anything more up front than to spy Mac Jones, you're in trouble.
I do give him credit for trying to gut it out though; he knows the D is torn up and was willing to try what he could to help.
This deserves its own thread.
We've seen some pretty electric moments through the course of this franchise's history, but I don't know if I've ever been tagged by an involuntary emotional surge like the one I had on the first play of today's game.
That was something special and I hope it takes its rightful place among the greatest moments in this team's long history.
Yeah those last few plays where they needed to get the clock moving and he was chucking prayers downfield were a perfect example of that.
Just 5 yrds and a simple slide is all you need but his mind is in run and gun mode on every snap and it makes him do odd stuff
He's having brain farts at weird times; it's strange to see coming from a guy who is so perfectly in command of the offense more often than not.
He doesn't trust his OLine and is spending the first second of every play checking his protection and deciding whether and where to move to and I think it's messing with his processing and decision making.
I don't know how hurt he was coming in or if he reinjured it mid game (possibly on a Stevenson carry for a 1stdown with about 6-7 minutes left in the second qrtr) but I don't think he played in the 2nd half. Was there any injury report or mention on thebroadcast?
The last snap I saw him take was on the Pats 2nd TD and he couldn't even lift his arm. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see him again this year.
