  1. No worries, there's still 3 quarters left
  2. Who cares? The only way to know if a DT affected the game is by reading the box score!
  3. I would suggest that when you finish around the top 5 in tackles for loss at your position that you're not doing a whole lot of disappearing. The only time he's invisible is when he's hurt, which is my only real concern about this extension.
  4. The only bit of that I'd disagree with is that I'd suggest DT is is even more important than any DB on the field because I think good Defense starts in the middle.
  5. I do mine about once a week, my wife does hers 2-3 times a week. The real question here though is Do you fold your underwear? I make fun of my wife daintily folding hers while I'm stuffing a ball of boxer/briefs in my skivvy drawer. Which one of us is normal?
  6. Interesting, I would not have guessed that. When also you factor in that Oliver is waaaaaay better than Meatball at holding the POA, that paints him in a pretty good light.
  7. That's what you get for riding sober!
  8. You are the only that keeps saying that, which explains quite a bit Keep trolling this thread repeatedly with stupid shlt and you get what you deserve 🤷‍♂️
  9. Oliver has drawn a ton of doubles over the last couple years; when Von went out, that number probably went through the roof. If you go back and watch the last Cincy game, the level of fear and respect he drew from the Bengals Offensive coaching staff might make your head explode. 🤯
  10. The fact that you rely on statistics and popular opinion to judge the effectiveness of DT's tells us all we need to know. Thank you. 👍
  11. Fun fact: Last year there were only 5 DTs in the NFL that had more Tackles for Loss per game than Ed Oliver. But please keep telling us how awful he is and that you never see him make any plays. It's funny because it just shows how little you actually see.
  12. I don't watch film of 50 other NFL DLinemen and neither do you. My guess would be that he's somewhere in that neighborhood.
  13. No, he's had a pec injury, has had to wear a knee brace and has had "core muscle" surgery in the offseason previously. And those ankle injuries are chronic for him; they've popped up I think every single year he's been in the league. It's a problem because a) at his size he has to work so hard that it makes him more prone to injury and b) when he does get injured it's more detrimental to an undersized guy who relies so much on effort.
  14. The only real problem isn't that Oliver is a bad player, he's not. It's that there's a real possibility that he's going to spend a large chunk of his career regularly fighting injuries that hamper his speed and strength.
  15. Watching people that have absolutely zero clue about DT play freak out about this is hilarious.
  16. He's absolutely gotten better at it but there are still instances where he's late getting into and out of his set and it puts him behind the play.
  17. I interpret it as him saying that sometimes he's late to the line and slow off the snap. Which he is.
  18. Woah, wait a minute. Are you saying that there are some days that aren't Doughnut Day?! 😲 I no longer understand the world and am going to need some time to collect myself........
