Exactly. People like to think these things are mutually exclusive so they can have one without the other.
It baffles me how many people equate their jobs/professions with that of an NFL player. They train tirelessly for their entire lives to reach 'the pinnacle' of their profession yet (you) as a middle class (insert profession here) believe that the conduct of you both should be held to the same standard

The Bills trade back with their 2nd and 6th and 7th round picks to get an extra 3rd and 4th.
So they would have a later 2nd, 2 3rds, 2 4ths, a 5th and a 6th

Really I wouldn't want either one before the 4th, preferably 5th. It's tough gaging how the draft is going to shake out with everything that's going on and all of the playmakers in the draft this year

I think a similar player with more upside is Lynn Bowden. He was poised to have a breakout season on the biletnikoff and hornung watchlist, injuries to the top 2 QBs on the Kentucky roster forced him to play QB.
His stock dropped but he mostly played as a running back while throwing occasionally. From what I've seen I believe he's going to come in and make a huge impact. Hopefully for the Bills

I feel like none of the options here have the upside that Beane looks for. In my opinion he typically drafts high ceiling type players and these all seem to be the opposite

After further digging, Arizona was the highest user of the 4 WRs personnel last year at....(drumroll)... a whopping 18% of the time followed by Seattle at 10%. ?
The thing is it's not about running a 4 WR set. It's about creating mismatches using different personnel grouping. Like a 2 or 3 WR set with different players ( Diggs, and Brown, Diggs and Beasley, Brown and Beasley, etc)
So a 4th WR could feasibly get action in any of these sets. Or is that off base?
I suppose by that logic we must run a slot of 3 and 4 DE sets since Lawson, Hughes, Murphy and Johnson all saw plenty of action last year

It doesn't matter what the name is. Just a point a reference in the discussion regarding 2nd round WRs. ?
The chances of getting any impact player in the 2nd at any position is going to be slim this year considering the construction and depth of the roster.
At this point would you rather try to hit a grand slam or a ground rule double?

Finding another WR that can take the field and add another dynamic option to the offense that defenses will already have a hard time with will take the offense to the next level. Running a fast past offense can wear your own guys down so allowing them to have another more than capable WR in the wings stresses a defense even more.
What if the WR they draft goes on a tear towards the end of the year and takes more snaps than Brown. It's not like this a rare occurrence. You act like a second round WR can't come on and be better than the guys the Bills already have

The Bills offense ranked towards the bottom of the league, while the defense ranked at the top.
The Bills put significant resources this off-season on defensive players, and not necessarily an equal amount on offense.
Brandon Beane says the team needs touchdown makers and guys who can take it to the house from anywhere on the field.
The draft is loaded with offensive playmakers
A second round de or safety would see about as much time (maybe less) than a wr. They would be sitting behind at least 3 players and maybe 4.
The reason the Bills lost games was a lack of offensive fire power.
How's that?

Everyone wants our offense to take the next step so why not draft O heavy. I think this draft will end up similar in real life. Just load the field with playmakers and chain movers and have the defense pick their poison.

Honestly, I did a quick YouTube search and it's hard to find them without watching entire videos (and also remembering which teams). I distinctly recall one on wildcard weekend and one in the divisional round.
Regardless, (you are correct) it is technically a penalty by the books. That being said if I were his coach I'd tell him to make that block Everytime, although set a pick rather than engage the defender.

Also, if he doesn't make that block and Allen decides he's going to set up and pass, someone is probably going to get a strip sack on Allen since he's still in pursuit.
I suppose that the NFL should institute a rule for defensive players, saying that they will be penalized if they hit a player after the ball has progressed down the field past them. (I.e a D Lineman chasing down a reciever after the catch)

I'd have to say some version of the song Bella Ciao.. this song is simple and gets me all janked up when I hear it so I can only imagine how amazing it would be to have an entire stadium filled with people chanting Bella Ciao. I personally like the classic version the best but can understand people wanting a techno/modern sound.

Surprised to see Allen ranked so high.. he had his ups and downs but it seems like he's on the right trajectory and people are starting to take notice.

And yet if he threw a back shoulder throw like you want him to, the DB is on the outside waiting to make a play. If McKenzie be hasn't slowed up those last five yards he might've had a shot. Not saying Allen was even good because he wasn't... Also look to the scramble and throw to the right side of the endzone where McKenzie failed to make a play. I looked at my wife immediately after that play and said a better receiver scores there.. going back to last year we haven't had a WR, TE or RB bail any of our QBs out yet you see spectacular catches every week in this league. How about the catches Gesecki (sp?) made against us or the TD catch Landry had. It helps when you have playmakers to help out instead of role players

I get people always want the Bills to have the next great player but there are only so many in the league.
Would it be great if Foster was the next OBJ or Brown. Heck yeahhhh! Unfortunately the odds of that happening are unlikely

The guy is a great athlete, above average route runner and has enough speed and body control to do the whole route tree.

Personally i cant see why he can’t have an Allen Hurns type career and knock out a couple 800+ yd seasons as a contributor.
Keep drafting to get better there and don’t extend him. But for many you either have what’s considered the appropriate visceral hatred for the guy, or you want to be his soulmate.

People on here love the homerun aspect but don't want a guy who can get base hits. They just want to see the long ball and all that's about it. If you can't do that your basically worthless in modern NFL. Lol. No need for blocking or being a complimentary player... Let alone knowing where you're supposed to line up draw defenders away from certain looks..
...It all about the deep ball...

Foster played the first 4 games last season, was cut and put on the PS, then came back for the last 8.
Thus, he played in 14 games. You can agree to disagree opinion-wise as to his value, but you can't make up your own facts that he played in less than 5 games.
And if you wanna call the back half of his season, where he came in the last 7 games and caught 25 passes for 511 yards and a couple TDs "a few long passes," then we have very different definitions of "few."
Considering other players in the NFL routinely put up 100+ catches; averaging <4 per game isn't all that impressive
Unless you think 65 catches is impressive on which case I'm sure he'd continue his pace he'd have the NFL receiving yards record. And also TDs. Definitely TDs

If I had started this account a year ago. I would've started an analogous thread to the Zay Jones thread. The love for him on this board, and in general, is absurd.
He had a few good games (i.e. big plays). He's a speedster with a limited skillset and I find it amusing how many people can't see past it.

Definitely Bills D, although I'm always a sucker for them earlier than expected.
Josh Allen won me a few games down the stretch last year and I think he'll be solid again this year. I'm guessing he'll run it more than he has in the preseason. So bonus points right there.
Shady is kind of a sleeper for me since think this is gonna be his last year as "the guy". When he put the move on the defender and picked up the first last night it looked like something he would've done with ease in years past.
WRs I'm not so sure about. Beasley could be steady/not great, Smoky is probably gonna be streaky or solid, and maybe a last round flyer for Zay or Foster if there's no kicker I want
No TEs unless Sweeney or Knox impress the first couple weeks

Yes if my waiter or waitress whether lgbtq decides to promote anyone they wish it would not affect the 'quality' of the meal I ordered.
Also is the waiter's or waitress', in question, performances being scrutinized by millions of people worldwide..
Realistically yes someone who is world renowned should be held to a different standard than someone who is only truly known by his or her close family and/or friends
