I get you and am aware of the NFL’s various partnerships with gambling organizations. And yes, the partnerships could in theory open up additional doors for possible fixing/other malfeasance. I was just taking issue with the title of the thread since I hadn’t heard of the league actually owning a betting site.
Lol. How did we get to George Soros? Did your tinfoil hat blow away in the wind?
Allen’s production is more or less right on pace with what he did last year through 8 games, right? They just need to find a way to manufacture more “clean” time for him back there. I don’t know how they do it with the current OL personnel, but if Daboll wants that big boy job with some team he should be able to figure something out.
Lol. I love how it’s just one or the other’s fault. No mention of the “MVP-level” QB who looked like he lost his marbles out there today. Gotta be the coach or the GM! Pathetic.
Yes all of us in NYS are footing some of the bill when public money is involved. But as far as the upcoming actual negotiations between team, state and county authorities the city and its boosters like Termini have little to no leverage or influence.
gotta say this thread of yours is looking more prescient by the week. I didn’t necessarily agree at first with you, but it appears Vegas now does and I don’t see why Allen wouldn’t be the frontrunner at this point. Excellent work.
I do see his point regarding timing. And obviously it’s easy to see his motive with all of his downtown investments.
The downtown option seems incredibly remote at this point though. Unless somehow the other decision makers can convince the Pegulas that downtown is a better option, every signal from them is pointing towards OP.
This isn’t a Vikings situation where the city is actually contributing a portion of the funding (but the stadium is still owned by the state.) The city of Buffalo isn’t contributing anything to this construction, as far as I know. Hard for me to see how city real estate developers or city officials should get much of a say at all.
One is core infrastructure, the other is a limited-use entertainment venue. I get the passion for investment around Buffalo, but Termini’s comparison is ludicrous.
