lol. They’re high.

that’s fine and impressive considering the QB and coaching situation down there. But it doesn’t really approach his “peak” in ‘18-‘19. Which is fine on it’s own and ignoring the injury history. I’m still in the unknown department on what exactly he does and means to the Bills, with this current run blocking and capable and upcoming guys in the slot, and a 2nd round investment expected to catch the ball as a halfback.
-
I get you on the usage aspect, they could and will do whatever they want with him. Again though, and I guess this is my biggest disconnect with all the advocates of this move - I’ve seen nothing to suggest he’s back in peak form. And personally I wouldn’t move significant assets (which Carolina is demanding) until I saw some evidence of that. Yes, I know the Panthers are a trainwreck with no QB. But the extensive injury history is still there. I’m just not into it. I think the offense is fine and might even get better if Cook improves over the season and the offensive line improves (hope for this most of all.)
-
Long odds of that happening, and not common in the NFL, but that’s the best possible outcome after getting him I guess. Trade for him, win the ‘ship, flip him for comparable assets after the season to some dumb team who wants to pay a RB like that? Sure.

agree with everything here and you hinted at my biggest problem with this idea - if you go get CMC a rental doesn’t make sense with the price you’d have to pay to Carolina. So you’d be necessarily committing to him for a longer term. For the money he makes at a very, very non-premium position, you can’t give him 10-12 touches a game; his presence (if he’s healthy) and contract almost dictate that. I don’t see the fit and I don’t even know how good his is anymore. Yes he’s still only 26 but I’d like to see a real bounce back to prior form before entertaining committing to his deal long term and trading away assets for him. Assets that might be used to improve the interior of the offensive line, for instance.

I predict this will not be the final time you’ll have to attempt to beat these facts into his brain.

Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes are worth infinite draft capital.

stating the obvious here a little, but yes of course that’s right. -
okay dude. But here’s the thing - he hasn’t been a top 5 running back for a couple years now. He certainly isn’t in Carolina currently, and he’s already popping up on the injury report with (at least for now) minor issues. And as much as you want to claim all the Bills’ RBs are contributors to “the problem” the fact is the run blocking of the O line is the primary problem. Of course there is no real problem, because no team needs an elite RB; certainly not a team with a QB the caliber of Allen. See: actual numbers, like point differential, 3rd down efficiency, etc…

Is Dan Snyder blackmailing the NFL and it’s owners?
JoPoy88 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
yes and I do get that - but it might be possible that Snyder, in desperation, would leak *some* his dirt before actual removal as a threat to get the other owners to back off, with the additional threat to leak it all if they do vote him out. Either way, I just want to see him gone. Many, many Commanders’ fans do too. So whether he leaks his stuff before or after official ouster, makes no difference to me, so long as he’s gone. And like I said too - I welcome anything he may have on other owners being brought to light. He is a pathological liar, however, so we’ll see eventually if he actually has anything, because his days are numbered. -
Thank god.

100% CMC is completely unnecessary for this team.

Is Dan Snyder blackmailing the NFL and it’s owners?
JoPoy88 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
apparently not, which is surprising, even for here. From what I’ve read, because other owners may have their own skeletons, it’s worth it (and righteous, even) for the worst of the bunch to keep his station. Because Snyder’s being “cancelled” you see, and we can’t have that. -

Snyder’s attempts to control local media coverage of him and the team and silence criticism go back many years. Dave McKenna of the old Deadspin has written about Snyder’s various run-ins with media extensively. For those curious, here’s one: https://deadspin.com/how-dan-snyder-bought-off-the-d-c-media-1616238720?authId=1*12ya4j2*_a*ZkI2eU1IaDdoS1JaWUd0RUx0QVZpdngxMDRCajBac0MwT1Nvc1NmNWZUMWpuZzJUTUF5Y3pxeGQ0S000Q0xqbA.. -
Has there been any recent updates on Kim Pegula?
JoPoy88 replied to AuntieEm's topic in The Stadium Wall
it is certainly an opinion. An entitled one made by someone who thinks strangers owe them information on private health matters. Why exactly do the Pegulas have a “moral responsibility” to give you details on Kim’s health issue? Because you’re a fan? You bought a jersey once? Please let us know where this duty of theirs arises from. And yes I’m certainly more fun than you, given your opinion on what’s “owed” to you. -

lol oh my sweet jesus. The entitlement on display every single time this unfortunately comes up here is staggering. They don’t owe you ****. Grow up. -
did the guy even glance at a roster sheet before tweeting?
-
no he’s good. Full practice no designation. That poster was using last week’s as an example.
-
I don’t see Knox being inactive when he has no game status designation. Maybe he still is a bit banged up since his practice designation has been limited all week, but if can go he’s not missing this game.

Don’t hate them at all either. Just hope they lose to us every time.

I mean, that would certainly be a fun read if he really does have anything on Jerry or others. Snyder’s problem, in addition to all the gross stuff, is the business failings. Playing in a dump of a stadium, Snyder had a good deal lined up with Virginia. Amenable state politicians, land lined up. And he completely botched it. Maryland no longer wants anything to do with him. Going back to DC is a pipe dream, they hate him there too. So yeah, combine this with all the headaches from the conduct investigations, he’s not worth keeping around anymore.
