  1. Because their bylaws and their agreements with the players union say so.
  2. Sure I agree with all of that - it’s very hard to prove. Doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. Only the absolute dumbest (see Stephen Ross) get caught.
  3. Sure if you say so. All I’m saying is Henry has a lot of miles from a volume standpoint entering his age-30 season (ave. 270 carries/season across 6.5 seasons.) If you acquire him, you either continue to run him at the same or similar usage (and take the ball out of the hands of your best player) or you drop his usage and volume down to a more reasonable rate and continue to keep the ball in Allen’s hands (and then it’s harder to justify Henry’s $$$ at his position and age.)
  4. The collusion theory put forth by some has to do with owners collectively behind the scenes agreeing not to pull what the Browns did with Watson and strengthen that precedent. It has little to do with Jackson specifically, but the focus is on him because he’s the 1st “high end” QB comparable to Watson to come up for his extension since Watson’s deal.
  5. On 350 more carries. And where’d that 4.4 ypc get the Titans exactly? And would you want to commit to anywhere close to that amount of volume to get less ypc than Singletary (or Cook)? Henry contributes virtually nothing from a receiving standpoint as well.
  6. so codes of conduct should not exist for schools, universities or employers?
  7. So this group of kids were just outside playing with Nerf guns and someone at Mixon’s house shoots at them?
  8. Jacksonville Allen Robinson is long gone. Hard pass.
  9. what’s your starting 5? Kinda BS you start the thread and ask for a specific prediction but don’t offer one of your own.
  10. I’m not saying it was all bad, but the string of misses at QB definitely contributed to his loss of power.
  11. probably the fact that Elway ended up pretty maligned and ended up giving up (or being stripped of) his personnel authority after his continuing failures to solve for QB post-Manning.
  12. Gunner who’s the projected guard in the draft that’s just monstrous in size and strength that might fall to us? Don’t mean to put you on the spot but you’re my go-to expert all things draft.
  13. wait what? How so?
  14. Well look at that, the dancing joke was wrong.
  15. Okay well 1: there is nothing suggesting this trip to the combine is interfering with his rehab schedule in any way and 2. I highly doubt Von considers this trip useless nonsense if he has an expressed desire to work in the front office after playing.
  16. good point. Where were the threads castigating Allen for playing in pro am tournaments and meeting Tiger Woods last month?
  17. curious to know what exactly he’s supposed to be doing “right now” to focus on playing football, since, right now, he’s: 1. not allowed to, and 2. still recovering from injury.
  18. Heaven forbid a guy try to learn new things in preparation for his life after football. In the offseason, mind you, when the CBA prevents players from doing anything football related with their teams (even if they aren’t injured, which Von is.) I swear this place really is going way downhill.
  19. I heard the Commanders got annihilated by this report.
  20. just wait until this guy gets his money and is flying around at 3:00am in a Ferrari.
  21. 1. they’ve considered a roofed stadium for sure. They don’t consider it a priority. So it won’t be reevaluated as a “mistake” in the future (at least not one they’d admit.) 2. from the shots we’ve been shown so far, it looks highly unlikely this thing is amenable to just slapping a cover on top of it as a retrofit. So i’d bet it would be very hard to do it. But maybe not - luckily we have a resident architect on the board so he will be able to offer expert opinion.
  22. Yeah that all tracks. Honestly my estimates are wishful thinking more than anything. like i don’t think (or hope) that my equivalent seats will be sold to me for less than $200/g/s. And the PSLs (which I think will be at least $10K for 2 seats) can be spread over a 5 or 10 year period, added into the ticket price year after year. yeah it‘s going to be expensive. Sticker shock is gonna hit people.
  23. I am in 126 lower bowl facing the scoreboard, (same as Bills Elvis! But he’s down in row 1 ☹️ I am about 30 rows up) but if you broke it down it was like $90-95 per game. figuring out my “out” price is tough to do - family/peer pressure is a definitely a thing. But I do not want to lay out so much more given what I’ve seen so far. Personally, and I only have 2 seats, I’d do a $5,000 PSL and I’d do $160/seat/game. Anything more than that I’d consider dropping. EDIT: Found some of my 2022 tickets on my phone it was $113.00/seat. I gotta pay more attention to that s***
  24. i’m not hating on this take but defense being “bought not drafted”…they drafted Tre, Milano, Taron, Hamlin, and these two rookie CBs that look pretty good so far. They missed on d linemen over and over again recently so I get it the recency bias.
  25. look, i think i know what you’re saying here - talent should trump “culture” - and I agree with that 100%. But i def disagree that: 1. Terry has any sort of input into football s*** that would back McD up; and 2: that McD and Beane are at any sort of impasse. I just think they missed on the last couple drafts, in the early rounds. Sucks for sure. Get better at that high prospect ids (1st-3rd rd) and they’ll be fine. They have the hardest part of assembling a good team already set.
