  1. Pretty fair grades @BarkleyForGOATBackupPT5P

I would give Beane an A- though - he turned over the offense as best he could in one offseason. He brought in 2 legitimate NFL wideouts, when last year there was really only practice squad level talent there. Drafted what looks like a very good RB. Drafted two TEs, one of whom contributes regularly, drops aside. Partially fixed the offensive line with a premier center, a high draft pick and decent free agents. Pretty solid work in one year.

oh sorry, can you do some research on the topic, don’t spend more than 124 hours

baseball is the best for reviewing personality and accomplishment meshing into first ballot enshrinement

Rice, Gossage, Eddie Murray, Steve Carlton, Roberto Alomar, Orlando Cepeda and Dick Allen are good case studies to back me up

Using baseball, with different standards and different HOF criteria to “back you up”? Not very convincing. Are you Vic Carucci by any chance?

and if character came into play with TO, why not Harrison? Bye bye now row there’s no point.

T.O. Was a classless jerk in full antagonism mode with the media and people around him

you gotta be a super super immortal to get in on first ballot in sports behaving like that

    he wasn’t

that’s one side of the story I suppose.

Harrison was investigated and suspected of being involved in a street murder; didn’t hurt his chances of getting in on 1st ballot.

My goodness despite what ESPN reported what a circus no one even knows if their coach is being fired...I guess pushing 80 he just doesn’t care anymore how inept he appears to the rest of the

    country

and the Bills were in a similar boat with a very elderly, cheap, checked-out owner in the not so distant past so let’s not gloat. Besides, the circus act isn’t limited to crazy Jerruh in Dallas - see Cleveland, Washington, LA Chargers...

    D Hopkins targeted 150 times caught 104 balls    1,165 yards 7 TD's

    John Brown targeted 115 times caught 72 balls   1,060 yards 6 TD's

Both dudes sat out week 17

Hop averaged just 7 yards per game more than Smoke , with one more touchdown on the year despite 35 more targets.

He makes amazing catches, but he's not significantly more productive than Brown this season.

If you look at yards and/or points per target, Brown comes out quite a bit ahead.

I'm guessing Carlos Hyde and Duke Johnson are probably worrying Frasier and McD more than Hopkins, despite all the press he's getting.

totally fine comparison and thank you for posting. But John Brown is nowhere near Hopkins’ league. I hope you weren’t trying to imply that.

Am I the only one here who was just not that impressed with Reggie Wayne?  Yeah he was good with Peyton throwing to him but ... HOF good?????  Really?????????

And while I'm at it:  Steve Atwater should've been in years ago.

i wasn’t impressed with Marvin Harrison either yet he was a first-ballot guy. And T.O. wasn’t. Really make ms you think ?

  7. Marrone had a convenient scapegoat in Coughlin this year (although the excessive fines and CBA violations were, in all likelihood, ultimately Coughlin’s idea.) Plus, I really think Khan is more interested in international expansion/relocation than anything on the field right now. Now, having a good team will help in that goal, but I don’t think Khan views it as critical. So Doug gets to skate another year.

"Momentum" is a fiction discussed by fans.  It's not real.

What will affect our team more than anything is Allen's performance.  If it is about the same as usual, we don't win this game.

If he can string 4 good quarters together, play above his norm, and get us points in low 20s or better, we can win.

This all day. Momentum, as far as week-to-week goes, is all fiction. It’s something fans use as an excuse when their team loses.

Board is a bit harsh on OP.

my interpretation is that,  given their record against the best teams on their schedule and their sort of petering out a bit in December,  he is worried about their chances against Houston

maybe, but PUNT kinda earned that with the multiple threads every week that sorta are filled with nonsense. But i get you, judged in a vacuum, it’s a valid point. Not that the Bills had many chances to beat a team with a winning record this year but regardless.

Additionally, I can’t tell you how many helmet to helmet hits I’ve seen across the league that got no call.

Absolutely. It will not change unless people start tuning out. Bottom line. It’s disheartening I know, but until there is a critical mass of people demanding they get better, and not watching until they do, nothing will improve as far as officiating goes.

They will beat tennessee and they got a lucky break getting to go play kansas city 8 days after w.c game. That extra day will come in handy for them. The chiefs offense hasnt been that potent, and i don't see jerome boger officiating that game.

How would they f with the clock?

The game clock operators are league people, not patriots or any team.for that matter

And who’s the most powerful owner in the league? Maybe Jerruh but stroke job kraft is a close second. home clock shenanigans happen all the time. Technically you’re correct though.

NFL refs miss multiple calls, every week. Some (several?) of them game changing. Ask the saints. This is nothing new; there’s no conspiracy. Just incompetence. Al Riveron has about used up all his good will. He’s no longer a useful idiot for ol’ Rog and the league so I suspect he’s fired after the season. Maybe someone else comes in that knows what they’re doing.

They definitely fed him the ball. I'm not on the Duke hype train but He could have had 150+ yards easily though. The guy has played 2 full games and  had an impact in both vs good defense. He needs his opportunity. Foster is an important special teams player on coverage so it'll be interesting what they do.

this was his 4th game active wasn’t it? Going on memory i could be wrong.
