  1. game is fantastic. Anyone calling out “nerd’ in this thread is probably too idiotic to grasp the rules.
  2. Well, WELL worth it. Its iconic at this point great game.
  3. Just wait till Mayfield or Jackson sign their deals. Honestly comparing these contracts is not gonna get anyone anywhere. They’re all based on timing and salary cap more than anything else.
  4. Well no I would not need to watch just one game. Need a larger sample size than that. And if he really is that lights out as you claim after seeing him in a couple of games, the question remains why are the Jags eager to ship him away? Maybe it is just a factor of the regime change in Jax, maybe not. As for Jackson, I really don’t have any high expectations of him as a very late draft pick. And even if I did, well, see above on sample size. He hasn’t played nearly enough for me to make a judgment about his meeting any expectations. but your grand football mind seems capable of making snap judgments on players whilst watching from your couch, so you tell us.
  5. Missed half of last season. Didn’t play all that great the other half. If they will take a late round pick for him fine. Otherwise, what has he shown as a pro so far to warrant a high price?
  6. I get you. I suppose it may have been a better idea to get a high round rookie DB to try to push Wallace for cb2 rather than going DE/DE/DE at the top of the last two drafts. Too late for that now though. I hope all that investment in the DL can make his job easier indirectly.
  7. and levi was an undrafted free agent. What’s your point
  8. yes i agree with that. Levi is not beating back all pros. He’s fighting off the guys getting in there to take his job; what more do you want from the guy. He’s not that bad btw for a 2nd corner some of yall think Beane is just going to pluck another tre white out his whatever. Doesn’t work like that.
  9. well who’s out there? They’ve drafted cbs they’ve brought in free agent cbs. Levi has faced both vet and rookie competition and beat them all out. Keep saying he sucks tho.
  10. not surprised. Every year they throw people at him to take his job and he beats them out. Levi is a baller.
  11. it was a bad play (probably the worst play in that situation). But it wasn’t like Allen blew him out of the water that game is all we’re saying. And it’s not like QBs are playing truly “head-to-head” ever anyways.
  12. Borderline but yeah there’s a case to be made he is HOF
  13. without a doubt. While @Protocal69 is definitely right there are plenty out there that think LJ is an “elite” passer, there are others, right on this board, that think Jackson is a one-dimensional, total non-threat as a thrower. I think both those are wrong. He can make throws.
  14. Yeah Lamar is not in that elite passer tier I’d put players like Allen, Rodgers and Mahomes. Ravens’ fans can believe what they want I’ve seen enough of LJ to know he has some pretty obvious limitations. but we’ll see. He could improve and move into that top tier. He’s going to end up getting paid like he’s in that tier either way.
  15. TV money changed the game
  16. Part of the answer is he’s had pretty terrible wideouts in Baltimore (albeit with a TE.) Another part of the answer is he can’t really throw outside the numbers that well. It’s a legit limitation of his that he may or may not improve. Who said “Lamar won MVP, ergo he’s a great passer?”
  17. Lamar’s had one great year and one good year. I don’t really count the rookie year. I don’t think he’s better than Allen - never said anything of the sort. As for the rest of this, I still can’t reason why you’re so confused with earlier replies when your post linked MVP and playoff performance whether you meant to or not. It wasn’t worded well. Sorry you’re offended ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  18. What does this even mean? The two aren’t linked in any way. You’re responding to us like we’re dense when you’re not explaining whatever point this is clearly at all. Playoff games are tougher to win; the competition is more talented than many of the team you play in the regular season. But you’re saying (I think?) an MVP QB should never go one and done in playoffs? Sorry no. The MVP award is an individual honor, Wins and losses are on the team.
  19. what doesn’t add up? Playoff numbers/results don’t factor into MVP voting.
  20. Jackson’s style of play is also completely baked into the Raven’s offense at this point, both in playcalling and personnel. Which makes him especially valuable to them.
  21. you can have whatever opinion you want about Jackson - I don’t think he’s any sort of world beater either. That opinion means less than nothing. You’re ignoring the basic economics of the NFL. LJ is considered a proven commodity at this point and QBs like that get paid, period. We’ll circle back once that deal gets done since you called me crazy and you can apologize chief.
  22. You’d be assuming wrong. He is 100% going to get paid by the Ravens, probably more than Allen.
  23. Should’ve been fired years ago. Good riddance.
