  1. KC not losing to DEN on Saturday. End of discussion
  2. Oof. You can never predict this, but a Bengals loss likely means the Bills have to do IND + KC rather than NE + TEN to get to the Championship Game. I think I prefer the 4 spot for sure...
  3. They must have a hell of a cafeteria there in East Rutherford
  4. I think we would go into any playoff matchup, in any round, expecting to win. Super Bowl this year or next. It needs to happen.
  5. I wouldn't sign Diggs to an extension that pays him big money after 2023. Two more years of big money seems about right. He'll be 30 then.
  6. This is actually not pure speculation. Josh has talked about getting too amped up.
  7. On Locked On Bills today (start at 3:55 mark), Joe Marino shared Allen's road and home splits both for this year and his career overall. The differences are stark. 2021: Home: 60.8%, 6.22 YPA, 85.8 rating Road: 66.1%, 7.61 YPA, 99.4 rating Career: Home: 60.09%, 6.69 YPA, 86.2 rating Road: 64.61%, 7.47 YPA, 95.6 rating Marino concludes that Allen has been a better road quarterback than home quarterback and there appears to be something to this phenomenon. I continue to believe that Allen and the Bills are best suited to playing on the road in the playoffs. If they can get through that first home game, I'd rather see them on the road in future rounds.
  8. Timed speed not the same as play speed. He looks visibly slow
  9. Yeah, let's demonize him for the rest of his life because of one mistake. Harris isn't good. He's incredibly slow. He's not what the Bills need at all. Watching him try to gain the edge and make it to the endzone on that final play was painful.
  10. Raiders scenarios are simple. As long as the Chiefs, Bills, and Raiders win, the Bills will play the Raiders if ONLY ONE of two things happen: Browns beat Bengals Dolphins beat Patriots
  11. I wonder why passer rating is not included here. It has dropped 15 points.
  12. That's such a small sample size. I really don't know that it matters whether it's playoffs or not. It doesn't magically change the game.
  13. I hope it is. I just don't know. You think the crowd becomes significantly different when it's the playoffs? I'm not sure Bills fans can get much louder than they usually do
  14. I think we need to collectively rewire our thinking with the "come to Buffalo" thing. We casually insert that as if it is another advantage for the Bills, while the reality is that the perceived adversity serves as a rallying point for the visitors and playing at home seems to hamstring the Bills.
  15. But why? I'm not trying to be contentious, but I truly don't see anything about being at home that benefits this Bills team.
  16. I think you're spot on, exactly right. In situations like this, he feels like he should be able to be himself and be aggressive. It didn't work yesterday. He should always respect the opponent and take what is there.
  17. It's like when he doesn't feel the other team is a real threat, he feels free to "be who he is" and go for the big plays, and then he gets in trouble.
  18. I saw Tre in the tunnel at the Patriots MNF game hyping up the guys. Taron Johnson said on SiriusXM that Tre is involved in coaching Dane Jackson up.
  19. I think the better thing to say is we haven't looked like the best version of the Bills at home. The final scores mostly look fine, but getting there has been more of an adventure than it probably should have been in a number of cases.
  20. At home, I worry about the Bills overlooking opponents, getting too cute, wanting to put on a show, Allen being too amped up, etc. I haven't even mentioned the weather. On the road, I have none of these concerns, and you have the benefits of added focus and an underdog mentality. I feel much more comfortable with the Bills on the road. The proof is in the pudding. The pudding in this case are the stats AND the eye test showing Allen and the Bills are better on the road. For that first round game, I'd honestly prefer to play Indy in Indy, NE in NE, or Vegas in Vegas. It's not going to happen though. The Bills need to start approaching home games as if they are facing the adversity, because they are. Adversity in this case is the false comfort of a homefield advantage and the pressure of expectations. Fans are so indoctrinated into having the goal of home field that they can't see the forest for the trees. Once home field is secured, I believe the team and its fans take false comfort, like I said, which leads to focus issues. I continue to believe that this particular team's best path to the Super Bowl is on the road. If the Bills get eliminated at home and continue to not look like the best version of themselves at home in the future, you have to start asking what the underlying problem is, because most great teams seem to have their best games at home.
  21. The line might be a reflection of the fact that the Bengals have clinched the division and would just be playing for seeding. Maybe there's an inkling that they'll rest guys, given how crowded the AFC field is and how difficult it is to predict any matchups.
  22. Possibly the most uneventful interview in the history of interviews. Nothing to see here.
