  1. They don't. They're not like the other idiots.
  2. Before I go into this, I want to defend Simms and Florio for a minute. Unlike the talking heads on ESPN and FS1, they don't spout things just for shock or clicks. If you disagree, I encourage you to actually watch PFT every day instead of piling on because it's cool to hate Florio like it's cool to hate Nickelback. With that out of the way, Simms and Florio said on PFT this morning that the Dolphins have a top-3 roster in the NFL and are the best team on paper in the AFC East, supplanting the Bills. Simms said a position-by-position analysis, outside of QB, would be a landslide in favor of the Dolphins. Do you agree? Why or why not? I'll admit that I was slightly puzzled by the comments, because I think I disagree. QB: Bills OL: Bills, right? RB: Tie? I actually like the Bills' room better. WR: Dolphins? They have elite talent, but I think the Bills have better overall depth. TE: Bills DL: Dolphins, but it's close LB: Dolphins CB: Dolphins, probably, if Ramsey is behind included, but it's close again S: Bills? Specialists: Tie? Is that a Dolphins landslide? I don't think so.
  3. I don't like this example because he had to move to another team and get the greatest quarterback of all time in order to do it. It doesn't mesh when you're trying to make the point of having patience with McDermott in his first coaching job and with a QB who is one of the best of his era but not the goat.
  4. Williams is extremely unlikely to play at all against the Jets regardless of injury
  5. Kyle Allen is probably better
  6. Leads the comeback to snap the Ravens' 24-game preseason winning streak!
  7. I am predicting injuries to Tua and Rodgers and collapses for both teams. You're nuts
  8. It is going to be so so so interesting. The emotion in that stadium for their home opener on 9/11, Monday Night Football, most highly anticipated opening game for them in decades or maybe ever, Super Bowl aspirations... It's going to be crazy. Almost an impossible-to-even-imagine level of crazy. Sometimes, environment and emotion are overrated when it comes to football games, but I'm not so sure that's true in this one. I think it's a tossup on the football field regardless of the other factors. I'm surprised the Bills are favored. No result would surprise me.
  9. I think they're primed to surprise.

  11. Matakevich seems to be a prized possession of this staff. ST captain kind of dude. I think he's seen as a team leader. Lewis was the final cut, btw. Tough. Essentially kept Isabella over him.
  12. I'm surprised by the Anderson talk. I haven't seen much from him or heard people making much of a case for him.
  13. I know a lot of players don't get scooped up, but I think Shorter would be one of them. Cut him and he's gone. Too many traits.
  14. Here is the correct 53-man roster with 16 practice squad selections included in parentheses. 😉 No gymnastics with Von Miller; he makes this roster. 25 offense, 25 defense 8 offense, 8 defense for practice squad Allen, Allen* (Barkley) Cook, Harris, Murray, Gilliam (Mims) Kincaid, Knox, Morris (Sternberger) Diggs, Davis, Harty, Sherfield, Shakir, Isabella, Shorter (Shavers, Johnson) Dawkins, Van Demark McGovern, Edwards Morse, Bates Torrence Brown, Quessenberry* (Gouraige, Boettger, Broeker) Bass, Martin, Ferguson Miller, Rousseau, Floyd, Epenesa, Basham Oliver, Jones, Ford, Phillips, Settle (Lawson, Ankou, Jonathan) Milano, Bernard, Williams, Klein, Matakevich (Spector) White, Jackson, Benford, Elam Johnson, Neal (Ingram, Austin) Poyer, Hyde, Rapp, Hamlin (Lewis, Marlowe) Yep, Dodson was cut. *Bills should look for a better backup QB and better backup RT after cuts. No external MLB solution on the horizon this year.
  15. This is awesome! This guy is literally my next-door (okay, two doors down) neighbor!
  16. Pointed out that the Bills have major issues that will likely prevent them from winning the Super Bowl this year, same as every other year prior since 1966.
  17. This is more likely than not to be true.
  18. We still haven't won a Super Bowl. Most "overreactions" end up pointing to the actual truth -- we aren't good enough. People can scoff and mock, but that's been the reality and all indications are that it will remain the reality, so those who "overreact" are doing so reasonably.
  19. The Bills have bad tackle play, which reduces Josh Allen's ability to be the best version of Josh Allen, thusly killing our chances. The Bills don't have an MLB.
  20. Play on the field is all that matters. Nothing else should be taken into consideration when talking about his future on the team.
  21. I'm not the one living in a fantasy world. This place is Insecure Homer Central. Many posters just really have a hard time accepting even the thought or possibility that the Bills might have made a mistake and things might not be perfect. Folks who post such thoughts are ridiculed, ganged up on, and condescended to. Discussion is much more reasonable on X, typically. To no one's chagrin, I'm about ready to swear this place off for good. Came back after staying away for a while and it's insufferable.
  22. I'm not going to rehash all of this -- my opinion is my opinion and we'll see if the Bills' approach bites them -- but the underlined quote is meaningless. Players will always say they always wanted to be at the place they end up signing. You also conveniently left this out: “I didn’t have no conversation with Von. Oh no,” David told Eisen. “If he would have reached out, it would have been a different conversation.”
  23. I chuckled when I saw your original post because it's absurd to require people to take time to write a detailed essay to justify an opinion that is widely shared. I could absolutely do it, but I'm not going to take the time. Your approach is a common one from fans who think the organization can do no wrong. Just off the top of my head real quick: Bills could've paid Edmunds instead of Oliver and still come away with a good DT group of Jones, Ford, Settle, and Phillips; Bills could've drafted Drew Sanders (as I was hoping they would at the pick) instead of O'Cyrus Torrence and still had good guard depth with McGovern, Bates, Edwards, and Boettger; Bills could've signed Lavonte David if they had tried (and, by the way, his 2023 cap hit would easily fit under the Bills' salary cap even now). Not to mention all the other FA LBs they watched sign elsewhere for cheap. These are just a few thoughts. They should've prioritized having a starter at MLB. Do they sacrifice a bit of depth at one position if they had done the sign-Edmunds-instead or draft-Sanders-instead options? Sure, but that's kind of the point: you still have quality starters everywhere, including MLB.
  24. The consequence of being in a state of concern. That's a worry that could have been avoided.
  25. Dude, they did literally nothing. Stop being condescending. They brought in zero new players at the MLB spot. That is... literally nothing.
