To Zay's credit, both Duke and McDermott went out of their way to talk about what a pro he was yesterday. Duke even said Zay "held him and prayed" with him before the game.

Baker Mayfield is terrible. I don't understand why he gets a free pass while Josh Allen gets mass criticism for every single mistake. If you actually watch the games, you'd have to take Allen over Mayfield every time.

So...do we still control our own destiny at this point? ?
And are we mathematically alive?
Hate it when people say that when scenarios aren't that complicated and actually aren't math...

Good overall. It's very disconcerting when we're at the point now when you feel like you can see his picks coming before he even throws the ball, because all of his dumb decisions tend to look very similar, but overall I'm very pleased.

Keep in mind, the Eagles will be on the third leg of a BRUTAL road trip. Great situation for the Bills.
The biggest shame is that we should all be thinking about 12-4 or 13-3 and a first-round bye right now, which is absolutely orgasmic to think about. A divisional in Buffalo! But we can't, because of the Patriots. Only realistic scenario in which that happens is a Brady injury.

After McDermott's comments about Zay not contesting the picks by the Pats last week, it was clear by the lack of snaps today he's in the doghouse big time.
Yup. Extremely rare for McD to call out a player like that. He went beyond the normal "plays he'd like to have back" language.

Cg on the win our kicker says your welcome.
Outside the pick allen looked ok but was a good game. Gl with your season
It's cute you think you would have won if the kicks were made.

The stakes of this game, both for the team and the perception of Josh Allen, are HUGE. Bills Mafia could be in a tailspin 24 hours from now.
Allen MUST play well, and the Bills must win.
-
Even if it is for Webb, we shouldn't assume that means Josh won't play. The Bills might do this for strategic reasons to keep TEN guessing.

Odd question... anyone know why McDermott and Frazier's Monday press conferences are always posted on Bills Mobile but Daboll's never are? It's very strange.

Used to be pro in a different, MUCH LESS lucrative sport for a number of years.
Years later, working 9-5 in my 30’s, I wish my parents pushed me towards a sport that paid a whole lot better. The football paycheck equivalent of me in my sport would have set me for life. ?
Why not specify the sport???

I can't believe we are still having a problem understanding that Wade cannot play this year

Edelman has always loved sticking it to Buffalo. He's not going to miss this game. He taunts Bills fans every time.

Thoughts on defending the Patriots:
1. At this time, NE does not have a running game.
2. They are going to pass. A lot.
3. Brady is going to get the ball out in milliseconds, because he figures it out pre-snap.
So:
Don't bring heat. Play heavy pass coverage and mix it up. Make the Patriots go all the way down the field. You can hold them under 20.
Again... Don't blitz! Against Brady, it's a waste of defenders. You're not going to get there on time.
Thoughts on attacking the Patriots:
Don't get cute. Play straightforward ball-control football. Stay ahead of the chains, give the young quarterback manageable third downs, and hope he uncorks a couple of big plays.
If you come out trying to showcase Allen throwing the ball in this game, it's going to be lost quickly. He's a great player, but he's not far enough in his development to be "unleashed" as a passer against a Belichick defense.
Overall:
Right now, the Bills are the healthier, more talented team overall heading into this matchup. Unfortunately, that advantage does not extend to QB and coaching. The game result will depend on how far the Bills have come in those two areas.

I’m confident we win, and I’m even more confident Brady gets pummeled in this game.
Keeping it real... Despite a porous o-line and limited mobility, it's likely that Brady, somehow, will barely be touched.

"We all expected big strides from the 21-year-old in his second NFL season, but in these first three games, Edmunds has been a ghost. He has 19 tackles, only one for lost yardage, and two pass breakups."
That's a ghost? 5 tackles a game, pass breakups, and a tackle for loss?
Uh, yeah. Five tackles per game is extremely low for an MLB

Yeah, this has never gone well for us in the past once we start getting the media love.
The team hasn't been able to handle success in the past. If we were playing a bad team this week, I'd be super worried about a letdown -- but the fact that we're playing the Patriots guards against that and is very good IMO. Now, if we beat NE, I will be very concerned @TEN.

The Patriots have big weaknesses on offense. If it were any other team, we'd be licking our chops:
Bad injuries on OL. Marshall Newhouse is their starting LT!
No TEs
No FB
No running game
Possibly injured Edelman, no AB, Gordon lost a step
McDermott should be capable of shutting down this offense. Is he good enough? If the Patriots have success on offense, that probably means they have better coaching than us. I'm looking for McD to step up big this week and make Brady look 42.
The big question will be, Can we score? The Patriots D is legit. If the Bills can score 20 points, they should win the game
Open Roster Spot...

All things considered I think it's obvious this has to be a play for Ruvell Martin
