What the hell is Tessitore talking about? "I don't like the way he (Gase) just spoke to him. As a 22-year-old quarterback, I don't know if that's appropriate."
-
I'm just in it for the Star Wars trailer
-
And of course it's not about Darnold being bad, like it would be for Allen.
-
Why would you take the time to put (sp) in the thread title instead of just looking up the spelling? ?

For those who have never seen it, here's the onsides kick that Henry Jones returned for a touchdown twenty years ago (cued up to the good part)
Best announcing team ever. Absolutely classic. Can't believe Mike Patrick isn't calling games anymore.

I'd hope not, because that would mean they likely went 4-6 or 5-5 against a very favorable schedule.
We're talking about the Browns...

Follow the playoff thread. The Browns are the 10th seed. 4 places out.
I know where they currently stand. I'm saying I expect them to be competing with the Colts or Texans for #6 when all is said and done.
-
I think the Browns will be competing with the lesser of Colts/Texans for that 6th seed. The Bills will be either #1 or #5, depending on how things go with the Patriots.
The two teams with a shot at the #1 seed appear to be the Patriots and Bills...
Kansas City is going to take more lumps with Mahomes out
Houston and Indianapolis will continue to grind in that division with the winner being 9-7 or 10-6
Baltimore will win the division but probably finish 10-6 or so
The #2 seed could really be 10-6 this year. It's crazy. The Bills could be 12-4 and be stuck with the 5 seed despite a better record than the 4, 3, and 2 seeds.
But here's the interesting thing... We are one New England injury away from being the favorite for the #1 seed, folks, and we have a fighting chance for it even without that. Beane needs to go all in to put the pieces in place to secure that #1 seed! It's ALL about New England. Jets beat them tonight and the race for #1 is officially ON...

This is not a good result for the Bills. Are the Eagles really going to lose three in a row? They'll be desperate. You'd have really liked to see Philly win tonight.

This will be the third in a row though, not the second.

In all seriousness, can you remember a worse loss? Fire McDermott. National embarrassment, completely unacceptable, just absolutely heartbreaking

Why don’t you all calm down? Close game; make some adjustments and some plays in the second half. We got this. Going to be a fight.
This is exactly the point. This game should NOT be a fight. There should be no nerves or concern for this game.
-
THIS SHOULD NOT BE A CLOSE AND EXCITING GAME
-
The Bills need to stop being cute and just line up and play football. This is extremely frustrating.
-
Pretty unsettling that Miller didn't even know we lost that Super Bowl.
-
Trying to figure out what a good record is will be interesting. No more 10-6. It'll be very strange.

Michael Strahan says, "It is Thursday Night Football, and it is ONLY on FOX!"
Apparently he doesn't know that it's also on NFL Network and Amazon Prime, lol
He actually said this as an NFL Network/FOX/Amazon Prime graphic was on the screen ?

I'm not sure what thread you're talking about having been locked. We have a number of positive and negative threads.
There's a perfectly useable, neutral "what are your expectations?" thread where the OP put in a great deal of effort - it was never locked but slipped off the first page for lack of activity. Therefore in accord with board policy, one duplicative negative thread and one duplicative positive thread have been merged with it.
Thanks for the response. The thread I was referring to is titled "Anybody else concerned this team might not be for real?" It's at the bottom of the first page at the moment.
-
I'm wondering why this thread wasn't locked, because the other side of the coin (a post that took a lot more effort to make) was. I wasn't involved in that thread, but it seems to me like this thread is only open because it is positive. Seems like pessimistic viewpoints are against the code of conduct on this forum.

Rodgers won them the game with that perfect atD throw, though.
It's comments like this that muddy the waters. Rodgers shouldn't have had a chance to throw that pass.

Let's just be abundantly clear here. 9-point lead for the Lions. They get a sack on third down, and a late flag comes in for illegal use of hands to the face. Completely bogus call. Packers score TD. Then Lions throw deep and Packers commit interference, but it's not called. Then Packers drive and are stopped on third down, but another bogus flag comes in for illegal use of hands to the face. This allows Packers to run out the clock and kick a field goal to win as time expires. The refs took control of and changed the outcome of the final three drives of the game, directly causing an illegitimate Packers win.

The red is a good idea, but the puzzling problem is that the jersey actually has an orange tint. It is not a true red, which is really strange since it doesn't match the rest of the red in the Bills' color scheme.
-
Crazy how many good teams there are in the NFC.
In the AFC, it seems pretty clear... Swap the Raiders for the Colts and I think those are your playoff teams.
The weakness of the AFC HAS to have Bills management thinking about what they could make of this season... It won't be like this every year.

Thank you for that scintillating correction. I stand in awe of your perspicacity. You are a towering example of truth and brilliance to all of us, and a credit to the board.
And if you haven't figure it out yet, I'll tell you what I really think when you hit 250 posts.
I find it odd that you seem to measure posters' worth based on their level of activity on the board, as if that has some bearing on the validity of their perspectives. Someone could be the world's #1 football expert, just coming to this board for the first time, and you'd still belittle him and his post count just because you've been on this particular forum longer? Seems ignorant.
